This was a tasty soup, but a little too "spinachy" for the non-spinach lovers in my family. Before reheating it the second day, I added finely cubed potatoes cooked in about 2 additional cups of chicken broth, and the flavour was much improved.

I admittedly (and strangely) added to this recipe the following: bell peppers with the sausage, and matzo balls (i was craving them). very NOT kosher, but i'm not Jewish so no problem. My husband, who obligingly eats soup, LOVED it and so did I.
