I'm not a big casserole fan, but this one won me over. A favorite for my 20 yr old daughter and her friends. We love this!

The flavor was just okay and the texture was too mushy. I will not make this again

I really don't like to mess with a recipe the first time, but I didn't have the ingredients listed. I used 1 lb. of Turkey bacon and 3/4 lb. lean ground beef instead of the pork sausage. Followed the rest of the recipe, except at the last 10 minutes, I sprinkled grated parmesan over the top. My husand LOVED it and he's not fond of casseroles. Thank you so much!

This recipe was just o.k., not great. It tasted a bit bland to me. I used basmati rice instead of Rice pilaf mix because it was all that I had. My husband did like it though.

This recipe was a hit with my family. Everyone ate it all up including my son who dislikes cerlery. I loved the amount of vege;s in it. I myself added onion and mushrooms which i cooked up with the meat and veges and also, I used basmati rice.

I used country sausage because that's what I had on hand, and it turned out fabulous.

Quick and easy recipe. May try another type of rice pilaf to make it even quicker.

Ok, original recipe...4 stars! I had to improv a little AFTER I had mixed it, but BEFORE I baked it...that's how I know it was good! But, I when reading the recipe, I saw that it made 2 pans. So I halved it to make 1 pan. I should have read the ingredient amounts closer, because it didn't make enough. However, I had only bought enough stuff to make half. I tasted it, and it was really, really good! But, I had to quickly make a few cups of instant rice to add to it to kind of stretch it a little. I also added about a cup or so of mozzarella cheese. I will definitely make this again, but will NOT cut the amount. A full recipe of this *should* make a 9x13 pan, I'm guessing. So that's what I'm going to do next time! Thanks for this one...it's a keeper for a lazy night!

Great recipe. The 'Hubster' loved it. The only thing I did differently is to add a handful of shredded mazarella cheese. Yum!

This recipe has delicious flavor. It's a real comfort food. I made it for the family and froze the left overs into serving size portions for my grandparents. They loved the casserole and appreciated the quick and easy supper!

This was just what I was looking for as far as a "clean out the fridge" recipe and everyone liked it. I made it the first time in the oven as per the recipe and it was fine, but some of the rice on top ended up uncooked and crispy as noted in another rewiew (couldn't stir it as it cooked as I was out at swim lessons with the kids). The second time I did the "stovetop" version and it came out just fine. Overall a great mix of flavors and very easy to make.

Thank you so much for this recipe! It was a savior at a time when I had very little in the pantry and even less time in which to have something prepared. It was simple and delicious. And I really enjoyed the celery in it. Amazing since I don't usually like celery. No doubt this meal will become a regular one for my family.

I was searching for a sausage casserole dish that would use the ingredients I had (my mom's recipe is the one with lipton noodle soup and I don't love the one in Paula Dean's cookbook), so I picked this one instead. It was great - I did modify some because I don't like celery and I had extra ingredients to get rid of :) I added green diced chilies, pimento, and shredded cheese, I also used wild rice instead of pilaf. Honestly some of the best sausage casserole I have ever made - my whole family loved it - even my 2.5 year old, I am not going back to my moms or Paula Dean's recipe anymore!
