I'd really give this more like a 2.5. I round up mostly because my kitchen smelled nicely as it was simmering on the stove. I didn't have any spinach on hand, but I doubt that if I did it would have reduced better. It was VERY soupy. I think this Pasta Pomodoro recipe is a better version of what this tried to be: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/pasta-pomodoro/detail.aspx

Excellent food doesn't need to be complicated or difficult to cook. This recipe is proof of that fact. I deglazed the pan (after the garlic and onion were done) with 1/4 c. white wine and used fresh basil. Perfect!

AWESOME!!! My 6 year old gobbled it up, we couldn't believe how quiet he was during dinner which makes this a definite keeper. My changes were as follows - 1) used Rotini pasta and drained it on top of the spinach as recommended 2) after cooking the sausage (I use mild italian free of antibiotic/hormones) in the garlic/onion combo, i added 1 can of diced tomatoes w/celery and onions (Aylmer) 3) 1/2 cup of red wine 4) 1 cube of Organic Chicken Bouillon 5) 1 tsp of basil AND oregano 6) added a handful of thinly sliced mushrooms and let everything simmer for around 20-25 minutes. I then stirred in the pasta/spinach and five minutes later, voila! an absolutely delicious Monday evening meal!! Thank you so much for this great recipe!

Pretty good recipe. Did not "wow" me, but the people I cooked it for seemed to really enjoy it.

Great recipe! My husband loved it! Easy! I used fresh spinach as well and used less chicken broth as noted so it was not soupy.

I added a tsp of oregano, used a full pound of pasta and 12 oz of frozen spinach. I didn't have spicy sausage so I added a few shakes of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly and it was DELICIOUS!! It was such a nice change from the usual thick red sauce and pasta dishes I make. This will be added to our regular meal rotation. Thanks for sharing!

My grandson said, "where's the sauce?" and added lots of mozzarella cheese.
