Used spicy hot sausage and cooked separately from potatoes, green pepper, onions, garlic and mixed at the end to just flavor each other.

Didn't use carrots or green pepper. Used 2 cans canned potatoes cut up. Scrambled 8 eggs and added to the hash. Kids LOVED it!

This was quite delicious but I did make changes including leaving out carrots but adding mushrooms and about 6 eggs and garlic. I used Smart Ground fake breakfast sausage and it worked out perfectly. I thought it was missing something but hubby went back for seconds, so I guess not to him. I wish I would've fried the potatoes to make them crispy first as other reviews said but overall pretty good. I will make it again with changes noted.

This was an ok recipe but nothing special. I made it exactly as is (minus the carrots) & it just didn't have enough flavor for me. I will make again but this time i will take other reviewers suggestions & try adding some garlic & hot sauce.

A major hit at a work brunch. I used pre-packaged southwestern hash browns and also added garlic. I prepared the hash the night before and baked it in the oven for 20 minutes the next morning to add some crisp. Topped the hash with pepper jack and browned the cheese. The only error I made was that I used lowfat sausage. Will use full fat and drain the fat next time as the low fat does not taste that good.
