This was kind of soggy. Tastes alright, but ugly and messy.

Made this for a church breakfast - OUTSTANDING! I only had about 15lbs. of pork sausage (needed 40lbs) and it still turned out alright. Nobody complained and had more than enough. Used lipton onion soup mix instead of the french onion mix. Also I browned the meat with red and orange peppers before adding into mixture. Can't wait to make it again.

This tastes like a breakfast casserole and you won't miss the eggs!! I fixed the soggy problem and browned the hash browns according to the package. I also left out the sour cream and it wasn't missed. I did half of this recipe and it fit perfectly in an 8x8 pan. I also used low fat pork sausage and somehow this dish is amazingly flavorful. The french onion dip sounds crazy but it really compliments.

Awesome! I halved the recipe, and refrigerated it overnight before baking it in the morning. I used generic reduced fat sour cream, 98% fat free cream of chicken, powdered french onion mix, and 12 oz reduced fat pork sausage. I reduced the cheese to about half - not by choice but because I was too lazy to shred more. I mixed everything instead of layering it (I didn't read the directions well). Delicious! It was a little on the salty side - I guess because of so many packaged products, but I can get over that. Definitely a winner.

I have been making this dish for several years now and everyone loves it. It is just as good with 1 lb of sausage if you feel 2 lbs is too much. I have used fatfree cheese and sour cream and noone knew the difference.

Yummy! I just mixed all mine up instead of trying to layer. I thought this was really wonderful.

This was OK but not something I'm going to make again. It seemed very bland to me plus it was so high-calorie and high-fat, I'd only want to eat it if I loved it.

Used farmer sausage chopped up instead, and mixed up all the ingredients instead of doing layers. Was so good!!
