When I made it for my family, I had no leftovers AT ALL! It was delicious, but next time I will make sure to leave the hashbrowns in longer before adding the rest so they are more like a crust!

Was pretty good, I used cream of mushroom soup since that is what I had. I also some mushrooms and more peppers. Will make again for a fast casserole.

Really good. Made it for mother's day and everyone thought it was great. I followed the recipe except I added 6 eggs as another reviewer suggested. Yummy!

Excellent dish. Only thing I did different was saute the onions and pepper while browning the sausage. Took this to a work event and it was a big hit. Recommend.

This is very good. I skip the layering, add it all together in a large mixing bowl. Pour it into the pan, bake and enjoy! I make this for my son's Martial Arts camps, it is always devoured. DELICIOUS

Edible, but pretty "blah". All I could taste was the french onion dip. I don't recommend this.

It was good the whole family liked it. I used the hash browns that already have onions and peppers in them, making the whole thing go faster!

I guess I had too high of expectations for this. Whatever I had in mind did not come out the way I thought it would. I thought it would have more consistency, instead it was a little on the messy side. I would have liked the hash browns to have been I'd say more done, crispier I guess? I did leave in the oven longer then it calls for to try and brown the top more. My wife claims she enjoyed it but it fell a little short in my opinion. I'm thinking maybe some of the reviews that added egg might have a good idea, I think that might hold it all together better. Will have to make another shot at it.

Very good! I didn't realize that this recipe did not call for eggs until I was preparing it. I added 6 eggs and just mixed in every thing instead of layering it. Turned out wonderful, I made it for a houseful of guests for my son's baptism. They ate it all! I wonder what it would have been like without the eggs. It cooked up really light and fluffy with the eggs. Thanks for the great recipe, I think I have my offical breakfast casserole recipe now.

This is my favorite recipe so far, one even I can't mess up. Both my boyfriend and toddler love it. Some changes I make is that I do mix the sausage together, I break 6 or eight eggs on top (boyfriends idea) and instead of shredded hashbrowns, I use the country style browns. I could eat it all week long.

Family Favorite!! We do make some changes however, if we don't have the french onion mix we will omit or use a ranch/veggie mix. Different taste but still good.

This is a great dish for a cold winter night. I put it together on a Sunday afternoon, refrigerate it, and then Monday evening all I have to do it pop it in the oven. My husband also likes it if I add slices of hard boiled egg in the middle layer with the sausage.

I made this for my extended family for Christmas brunch and it was a huge hit. I followed the other reviewers comments about using 16 ounces of sour cream and a package of dry onion soup mix, it turned out great. I am sure I will be asked to make this again.

Greesy, mess. The only reason it isn't getting one star is becasue it sounded as if it had so much potential that maybe it just was just a bad day for my taste buds.

I make this without the sausage all the time and it is by far the best hash brown casserole I've ever had. I am asked for this recipe everytime I make it.

This recipe is DEE-LISH!! I am asked to make it for every office party that I or my husband ever have. It's really good with spicy sausage, if you like a little kick. One thing though: it shouldn't say "package" of French onion dip because that's misleading like it's a dry mix or something. You're supposed to use the ready-made stuff from the dairy section. Yum!
