This recipe is perfect! I am making biscuits and gravy for dinner (using J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits, which can easily be found here). This is also a great, easy recipe for kielbasa which is the first thing I used this recipe for. Thank you so much for sharing!

This was the best recipe for sausage gravey ever! I added a little Chipotle spice to the sausage to add a little heat.

This is the best sausage gravy ever. It had been years since I had made biscuts and gravey and every time I tried, it tasted like flour. So I looked up the recipie and tried this one. Perfect!

I thought it tasted kinda bland. I should have used a seasoned pork sausage maybe that would have added more flavor. It was very simple though.

Very good recipe. I only added 3 cups of milk, and LOTS of pepper. I used it on biscuits and gravy, and made them southern style with a sunny side up egg on top of the biscuit and under the gravy.

This came out great! Very simple to make. I used turkey breakfast sausage. I also used about a cup of heavy cream that I had on hand from baking, along with three cups of skim milk - they balance each other out, right? =) After browning the sausage I added the butter and flour, no problems with clumping. Added the milk and kept it at a simmer for quite some time and let it get nice and thick. I used a fair amount of salt and pepper. Sooo good!

This gravy was great. I was looking to make biscuits and gravy for my boyfriend, his favorite but it had to compare to his grandmothers. This recipe came so close to her's my boyfriend thought it was her recipe.

Husband loved it and I thought it was delicious. Didn't feel the need to add any butter, plenty of fat from the pork. Will definitely make it again soon!

finally got a good gravy recipe, after trying many on the internet, i was skeptical when i read only 1/4 cup of flour (because all other recipes say 3 or 4 cups). I thought maybe i wasn't handling the flour right, but it musta been that the other recipes called for too much flour. The only change was that i only used 2 cups of milk. but i might use about 2.5 cups next time.

FANTASTIC! I was born, raised, and still live in MS, and I know what a good sausage gravy tastes like. THIS IS IT! Changes I made: bacon grease instead of margarine, only 3 cups of milk, and a little more than the required flour as mine didn't seem pasty with the amount as stated. The gravy thickened up very well - we like ours thick! Overall, the meal was very filling and probably very fattening, but it was great for a once in a while dinner or breakfast.

My mom has been making this recipe since I was a baby, and now I make it for my babies. Who by the way, can't get enough. Easy to make and great taste. Especially if you use a maple flavored sausage. Either way wonderful.
