I have to admit that I am guilty of using the packets of "Just Add Milk" gravy packets from the seasoning isle of the grocery store. However, since I forgot to buy gravy mix during my last shopping trip, I used this recipe instead. I substituted 3 Tblsp of margerine for the bacon grease, which worked out just fine , and because the pork sausage is salty enough, in my opinion, I didn't see the need for extra salt. It turned out great (much better than my cheater gravy packets) and I will be using this recipe again and again! Of course I cheated and used frozen biscuits, but what can I say? I'm not a morning person! Thanks for a great recipe!
