I tried this with mushroom soup instead of potatoe; I also added orange and red pappers and spinach. It was very good. I didn't have any leftovers.

Turned out pretty good! I actually misread the recipe and only put in one can of soup but it still turned out just fine! I also used cream of mushroom soup since that was all we had. Cut back on the milk just slightly

I looove this recipe! It is incredibly quick and easy so it's great after a long day at work as well as a lazy weekend breakfast. I used country sausage instead of Italian and substituted cream of mushroom for the cream of potato. Next time I think I'm going to decrease the amount of milk. It is very fluffy but not as "eggy" as I would like it to be.

This was a wonderful tasty dish. I also substituted a can of cream of mushroom soup, green peppers, onions and green chiles. We used spicy sausage as our family likes it spicy!! Will make this again

This was an awesome dish... I also substituted the soup with what I had on hand, a can of cream of mushroom and 1 can of cream of chicken, reduced the milk to 1/2 cup and added sauted onion, green peppers, and mushrooms with garlic. I also used a swiss and guyrere cheese mix inside and topped with White cheddar. the only downside was that it was runny when i cut into it but I put back in oven for another 10 minutes and it was fine (believe it was due to the baking dish). This was also excellent for leftovers!

I agree that this is a great basic recipe. I read all the other reviews and decided to add in what others suggested, plus more :) We used Jimmy Dean "Hot" sausage, and I added onions, green pepper, jalapenos and mushrooms while browning the sausage. Then we put in spinach (torn in pieces), minced garlic, rosemary, basil and chives. I also added more cheese to the top the last 15-20 minutes. Some said their version was runny, so I baked mine at 400 degrees for an hour. It was a big hit!

I halved the recipe and used cream of chicken soup after finding out neither my neighbor or me had anything else. :) It turned out fine but a little runny. I thought it was delicious, but next time I will add onions and peppers and maybe more cheese and I will cut back on the milk.

I used about twice as much cheese (2 cups). Cheese is good :)
