Sausage Cheese Bites Snack
SUBMITTED BY:
Nancy Reichert
"'These savory little bites are such a tasty snack to serve for a get-together or as an evening surprise for the family,' reports Nancy Reichert of Thomasville, Georgia. 'They also make a nice breakfast treat with a thermos of hot coffee if you're on your way early in the morning.'"

It was delicious. It was tough to roll them into balls. They were sticking to my hands. any suggestions as to make that easier would be helpful. I would defenitely make it again and probably use a sauce to dip them in.

I used spicy sausage and cut the water down to 3/4c. They turned out great! A big hit at our New Years party! I made some dipping sauce to go with them. Will definitely make again!

First of all, I must say, that my expectations of what this recipe would be were far different than what the recipe turned out like. I thought it would have much more of a sausage taste & texture as opposed to a biscuit taste and texture. I should have been clued in by the amount of Bisquick it called for because as other reviewers said, there was far too much of a plain biscuit taste. I think I would either double the sausage or cut the Bisquick in half if I made them again. And yes, they were extremely sticky to work with and try to roll into balls. They were ok - not the worst thing I've ever made, but definitely not the best. Perhaps with some tweeking, I will play around with this recipe again to try to make it more to our liking.

To amke easier to roll out add a little flour to your hands. This will keep them from sticking to your hands. I love this dish.

Awful! Next time (if there is one) I will use spicy sausage and more. Very bland. Too much of a plain biscuit taste!

I have made this for work several times and it is a huge hit! No problems with them tasting just like biscuit. Although, a coworker tried making them and she said they didnt taste as good. Make sure to use Buttermilk Biscuit Mix and I rub butter on my finger tips to roll the balls.

I made these for a tailgate party. My husband thought they were the best things ever. I ask for a friend's honest opinion on them and she said they were "ok". I think they are a bit "bready" and that part needs to be cut back on. Also, I think the addition of a spicy sausage would be better. I like them though. Thanks for the recipe!
