I have a daughter who is allergic to gluten, so I am always looking for recipes that don't call for bread. I made this and the whole family loved it. I followed the recipe exactly, and it was fantastic!

My whole family loved this! I made it for one morning when we had to leave early. I put it in the refrigerator overnight, and baked it the next morning. It was fabulous!

YUM! This is definately a keeper. Perfect for dinner & holiday mornings. I am for sure going to share this recipe with my family (SO much better than my sister's breakfast casserole) **I used low fat sausage and it still turned out great!

Awesome recipe! I only had 8 oz of cheddar, but I didn't miss the extra 4 ounces at all. I did add some pepper and some garlic powder to the mix. My boyfriend thought it was delicious as well, and brought some into work for his co-workers.

This was an okay recipe. It was definately filling and easy to make. My husband and son liked it, but I thought something was missing. It needed some other flavor but I can't figure out what. I might make it again to see if it's better the second time around.

This was very good and was a hit at the gathering I brought it to. I was hesitant about making it due to the cottage cheese, but thought I'd trust the other viewers and truly, never noticed that it was an ingredient. As with some of the other ratings, I cooked the thawed potatoes (I used a 32 oz pkg of OreIda shredded hashbrowns) in a skillet with a bit of olive oil, not enough to brown them, but just to cook/soften them a bit. Since I used the whole package of potatoes, I added an extra egg and next time will probably add 2 extra eggs in total and as well as some additional sharp cheddar cheese. We served this with a variety of hot sauces.

This recipe is "ok" - definitely needs seasoning added to it otherwise it is a bit on the bland side. We did like the top of the casserole being crunchy when it was done baking. That was a nice texture contrast.

I made this for a recent party. 15 girls aged 12 to 13 and it was a complete hit. I prepared it the night before and popped it in the oven the next morning. Even the girls I knew were a little picky, ate it all. I accidentally mixed the shredded onion with the potatoes, and it still tasted great. This is now a brunch "go to" favorite.

Awesome. Did bake the potatoes in the bottom of my pan for 30 min while I cooked the sausage. Used 9 eggs and great for leftovers!

This recipe is really easy and just delicious. I made it for a breakfast at work and it was a smash hit. People are still talking about it over a month later. The only thing that I changed was instead of cheddar cheese I used the Mexican cheese.

This is major comfort food, very hearty and filling. I double the meat as my sons like it best with more meat. Eat sparingly though, I bet this one will pack on the pounds...

Yummy! This was a great "breakfast for dinner" casserole! The only change I made was to sub ricotta for the cottage cheese. I will definitely try it sometime with the cottage cheese, but I had ricotta, so that's what I used! Keeping this one for sure!

Great recipe-- threw it together for company that was unexpected. Everyone loved it. Used NY Sharp Cheddar and frozen hash browns to make it simpler to do. Defrosted them to get moisture out and also baked alone for a bit first.

This was really tasty. I used only 8oz of cheese because even that was A LOT of cheese. I also used a vegetarian bulk "sausage". My picky 5yo son gobbled this up and my husband thought it was terrific. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because we thought it could used chopped sauted onion instead of the grated onion.
