These were great. I didnt measure my onion, just chopped some up. Also, I omitted the dill because we dont care for it. Delicious! I will certainly make these again!

This was really good, but I think fewer onions might be advised. I had dried onions and maybe 1 TB at the most. I also used heavy cream. Very good recipe.

I love lima beans, so this recipe was a no-brainer. The sauce was delicious and it was so easy to make.

This was horrible. The first bite into it tastes bad, and when you keep chewing it just gets even worse. I made it exactly as the recipe was shown. I think other people might have liked it because they added chicken broth or other additional things, but definitely not good as is.

This is pretty good, though I'm not sure how fair my rating and review is since I used ultra skim milk instead of half-and-half. I also added thyme and oregano and cooked it in a pressure cooker. Still, the herbs added a really nice twist to the beans so I think it is definitely something everyone should try. I don't think it really needs an overly rich sauce to be enjoyable.

These were really quite not good. And I LOVE lima beans. I will never make these again. It was a waste of beans.

Loved these! I love lima beans any which way, but my fiance isn't much of a fan. He actually liked these! Instead of half and half, I used skim milk and thickened it with a little flour. We don't eat onions, so I sauteed a clove of garlic in the butter instead. Very good, thank you!

My family loved this recipe. I used dried lima beans prepare according to package. Also I opted not to used the half and half since I knew my teenager would not try to dish. However I made a gravy with flour to thicken the dish and Ham Shank similar to ham hock to give more flavor alone with the other ingredients. This dish will be including in our monthly rotation. It took longer to cook as aspected when using a slow cooker.

I had been craving some lima beans just like my grandma used to make them, so I looked up this recipe and made it last night. It was a little to rich and saucy for me, I used about half the cream and butter recommended to begin with but it still was really rich and saucy. It was good though still, we ate the whole pot! Next time I'll only add a dash of the ingredients though, because the lima beans are so flavorful to begin with that they don't need much.

Wow! How delicious. I cooked the lima beans with Streit's chicken flavored broth powder mixed in the cooking water. I am mostly dairy free, so I used unsweetened soy milk and margarine. Yum! This will make a good, inexpensive potluck dish in the future.

This dish was delicious! I didn't have half/half so I used 7 parts skim milk and 1 part butter. Because of this I added flour at the end to thicken. I was contemplating cooking the onions in olive oil, but the butter gave it a great down-home flavor. I also used 1/2t dried parsley.

I loved this recipe. I had originally started to make a different recipe before I saw this one, and decided that I liked the creaminess of this one better. Because of that I started with dried limas (therefore my cooking time was longer) and I had cooked them in chicken broth (made from boullion)being southern I also added a ham hock (couldn't resist). Then I added the rest of the ingredients following this recipe. Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful, Even my picky eaters ate these beans!!!!!!
