Satiny Chocolate Glaze Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 7)

I just made this glaze and found the consistency was great but then I like that it's a little thicker. I had to substitute honey for the corn syrup but you can't tell in the taste or consistency. I wrote the glaze recipe on the back of my Triple Chocolate Cake recipe, making it quadruple chocolate now.

This simple topping is perfect! It gets better the day after, if you can keep the chocolate fanatics from devouring it! I made a double batch and poured the extra inside my bundt... oh yeah, perfect chocolate fudge. My husband complimented my cake immediately, and without any persuasion. Super easy, and I had plenty of time to make it while the cake cooled. If you love thick, fudgy chocolate, you will not be disappointed. I used Hershey semisweet and the brand DOES matter to me.

This is the easiest glaze to make. I put it all, except the vanilla, in a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup and then microwave it for up to 2 minutes. Watch it and when it boils, take it out, stir and and add the vanills. After it cools a bit, you can pour it over the cake. Perfect every time!

Awesome recipe, although I don't use the vanilla. I found it was troublesome the last time I tried it, but I love the taste of this one. I microwave it or do in on the cookstove and love it. ;)

I had to use up 1 oz. each of a semi-sweet and unsweetended baking bars. Melted it in the microwave using a total of 3 T. corn syrup to compensate for the unsweetened chocolate. Very nice and not too sweet, just as we like it! Thank you.

One of the easiest glaze recipes I've made. Don't mess with the double boiler if you have a microwave because it isn't needed. 30 seconds in my microwave then about a minute stiring and it was ready to pour on the cake. It is not a super sweet chocolate glaze and goes perfectly with chocolate cake with chocolate chips added. I used light butter and a touch more corn syrup and it was just the right consistency and sweetness. Will definitely use again when I need a chocolate glaze.

It tasted pretty good but after refrigerating, even putting it in the microwave won't melt down the frosting. It's very hard if you put it in the fridge.
