I have made this for a New Year's party and it was a huge hit! I didn't change a thing. The best pulled pork I have ever made. Thanks for posting!

This turned out perfect! My fiance and I just loved it. It made a LOT of meat, so we've got leftovers in the freezer! I would definitely try liquid smoke like others have suggested for next time, though.

I prepared this recipe for the 1st time last week for a pot luck gathering and it turned out great! I used a 5 lb pork butt bone in. Added 2 tsp liquid smoke as others have suggested; also added 1 sm onion quartered and 2 cloves of garlic to pot and slow cooked overnight (8 hrs). I have an oval shaped low cooker. Drained, took out onion etc and pulled the pork. I then added Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce to the pork as most suggest, but thought it too sweet, so heated up some Everett & Jones Mild BBQ sauce and made it available to ladle over the pork once put on the bun. It's a great combo of sweet and favor. Um Yum!! 5 lbs of pork butt fed 15-20 people easy. I used soft sweet rolls and cut them in half. I'll be making this again in a couple of weeks. This is a keeper recipe for me.

This smells terrible while cooking, but it tastes awesome! I drained the juices out before adding the BBQ sauce after cooking. I will make again!

I was making for a crowd so I had 15 lbs of meat. I roasted in oven 12 hours at 250, cooled pulled and put in crock pot. also added liquid smoke to broth. used a few ladles full of the liquid mixed with bottled bbq sauce. put just a little back in the pot and served the rest on the side. everyone at the party raved about it and asked for the recipe.

Great easy recipe! I added 2 tablespoons of liquid smoke and rubbed a boston butt with salt, pepper and garlic powder. I placed it in the crockpot the night before the party and it turned out fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

Gut-wrenchingly DELICIOUS! My husband declared this better than Dicks Bodacious BBQ! Super easy in the crock pot. Reviewer kbresler was right on- I followed her suggestions. 1)rub the roast with garlic salt and pepper. 2) I put in frozen chopped onion (a handful) to float in the broth. Didn't spear the roast with garlic and did use half beef broth/half veggie broth. It was still perfect. I cooked it on high for five hours and then three hours at low. Drained the broth and onions out, scraped off the fat and added a bottle of Sweet Baby Rays' Sweet and Spicy BBQ Sauce! Perfection. Thank you!

this is how i make bbq pork now everytime. I simply grab a boston rolled pork throw in the crock pot with BBQ sauce and let it go. I have added onion and other ingredients always a hit

This is great. I had a 5lb boston butt. I added garlic to the rub and some liquid smoke to the pot and followed the recipe. I went to 6flags for the day and this thing sat on low all day, 10 hours. It is fantastic.

Delicious! The only thing I did different is: 1) I rubbed the roast with garlic salt, salt and pepper. 2) Cut up a medium onion and put it under the roast in the crock pot. 3) Speared the roast (2.5 lbs) with frersh, whole garlic cloves I used 6 cloves.. I cooked it on high for five hours and then two hours at low. Drained the broth and onions out and added a bottle of Sweet Rays' BBQ Sauce. Yummm... :-)
