1 1/2 pounds
garlic, minced, or to taste
beer with lime flavor
ground black pepper
1 (10 ounce) can
diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
1 (14.5 ounce) can
1 (15 ounce) can
dark red kidney beans, drained
ground cayenne pepper
This was so easy and delicious! If you don't want to use a slow cooker, simmering it for 1 or 2 hours in a big pot works great. I also added some sweet corn to the chili. I served it with sour cream, cilantro, shredded mexican blend cheese and a wedge of lime. Tortilla chips would also pair well. :)
ok but not a "robust" chili
A little too spicy, by the recipe, for my liking but easily fixed. I also didn't use the beer (gluten allergy) but used a hard cider and it seemed to work well.
GREAT chili recipe! There is just a hair too much spice. Excellent flavor and easy to make. I modified it slightly and its now a fall/winter staple in our household. Thanks!
I made this for my kids and they ate it and thought it was okay. The verdict was: You can make it for us again if you lower the spices to 3/4 of what the recipe calls for. I liked it.
New family favorite chili recipe! Followed the recipe exactly. Its has the perfect amount of spice.
I made this for my family and they all loved it. I served it with corn bread muffins and my very picky son asked for seconds! I added a few touches of my own such as sweet corn niblets, fresh green and red peppers, and a chili mix packet. It came out great and I will make it again.
We like hot, spicy food, but this one was over the top. It was so HOT that I couldn’t even eat it and my husband, who loves hot food, didn’t care for it because he couldn’t taste anything chili. It’s a shame, too, because this turkey chili recipe is good enough that it doesn’t need to hide behind a ton of pepper.
