Recommended. THESE SMELL AMAZING WHEN YOU BAKE THEM. My boyfriend really liked these because they weren't "as banana-y" as my usual recipe. Based on users' suggestions and my own tastes, I used 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar. I used 1 and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup white. I didn't use coconut and threw in more walnuts. The tops came out crunchy and the insides were moist and flavorful. I will definitely make this again!

I didn't have the walnuts, so I added chocolate chips instead. They came out great. Thanks for the recipe!

pretty good and simple recipe. i added some macadamia nuts. cut the sugar like everyone said. next time i'll substitute some applesauce for oil to make it lower fat. be careful not to substitute all applesauce, or it comes out kind of dense and spongy.

These muffins are a fall favorite in my house. We live in Alaska, and there is not much more comforting and warming that these muffins and a cup of hot tea

I used 4 bananas, and upon others' suggestions, 1/2 c white sugar and 1/2 c brown sugar. I also added about 1tsp cinnamon and couple pinches of nutmeg. Also substituted applesauce for the oil. I was not impressed with the final result of this recipe. There was a very flat flavor to it. It was not sweet, and was not 'banana-y'. I will try other recipes. Thanks anyway.

portion size was really good!, made 10 good sized muffins and 2 smaller, diddly ones. Used only 25g of white sugar and 75g of brown sugar, and added 1 tsp of vanilla essence and some cinnamon as per other reviews. Added abit more baking soda to make the muffins more puffy and big!, worked a treat, and baked them for just over 25 mins at 165, but this was still too hot, next time ill change the temp to 160 and check the muffins before 25 mins. They browned too much. I thought the muffins were abit too dry and texture abit too dense for my liking, kept them over nght and they turned abit gooey and sticky on the outside. But my friends seemed to like them loads. Also added in some chocolate pieces, made loads of difference, cos the muffins werent bananary enough, next time ill wait till my bananas are really ripe before use.

I was looking for a simple recipe to use up some bananas. This was great! Such simple, basic ingredients that you will have around the house. I was able to make 12 muffins and a mini loaf with this recipe. The muffins were so good right out of the oven and the bread just as good the next day. I used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar like some suggested and also added cinnamon and nutmeg. I set my oven temp to 325 and baked for 33 min- they turned out great. This is a keeper!

This recipe was so easy! Only thing I didn't have on hand were walnuts, so I used raisins. Soak them for 10 minutes in hot water before putting them in the batter. And, I used 1/4 c brown sugar, 3/4 c white sugar. They're perfect!
