These were quite good. Modified the recipe a bit as suggested by other commenters. Used 3/4 c sugar, added vanilla and cinnamon and used same amount of wholemeal flour. Didn't notice the tagline before and I agree the recipe could be improved by some shredded coconut. Would try that next time!

This recipe is not only easy but fool-proof and just delicious! I did it for the first time last night just as directed, with a few minor adjustments: I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose, I didn't have walnuts so I used cashews that were salted, so instead of using 1/2 tbsp of salt I used 1/4 and 3/4 cup of sugar instead of the full cup since most reviewers seemed to agree that a full cup wasn't necessary (next time I'll use brown sugar to see how that turns out). I also followed the advice of another reviewer and added 1/2 tbsp of vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon . They were perfect! And also, mine only needed 30 minutes, no more, no less. We loooooooved them. Thanks for this recipe!

I took some suggestions and used 3/4 C sugar, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla and these only took my oven 20 minutes when they were perfectly done. Moist and delicious with a tiny crunch on top. Yum.

I really enjoyed this muffins! This was my first time making muffins from scratch and they came out very good! They needed a little bit more banana flavor but thats my own fault because i didnt have enough bananas. And i used only 1/2 cup of suger which was plenty! great recipe!

These muffins are great! I added 1 tsp cinnamon and cut the sugar down to a half cup and I also used chopped pecans instead of walnuts because thats what i had on hand. They were more bread-like, not so sugary sweet like the banana bread I've had in the past but i still think it had just the right amount of sweetness without over doing it. Very versatile recipe with delicious results!

I love this recipe, and made some healthy revisions. 2/3 cup sugar, 1 cup AP flour, 1 cup whole wheat flour, 4 bananas, 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup applesauce. Bake for 30 minutes. Comes out yummy and guilt-free for the kids.

This recipe was wonderful! Like other reviewers, I only used 1/2 cup of sugar and they were great! I also added 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp of vanilla, added 1 more banana (I love bananas!), and toasted the walnuts before I put them in the batter. I also sprinkled a few on the tops of each muffin before I baked them. They turned out great! Thank you Sarah!

I made these for my husband to take to work tomorrow, had to try one to make sure they're good enough. Now I wish I'd had more bananas. I'll be making these from now on.

These muffins are a fall favorite in my house. We live in Alaska, and there is not much more comforting and warming that these muffins and a cup of hot tea

I did not use walnuts and used some baking cocoa instead with chocolate chips. It was excellent!

I changed it a bit to make it low-fat and less sugar. Instead of oil I used 1/2 c. cinnamon apple sauce. Instead of 1 c. sugar, I used 1/3 c. brown sugar. I also left out the nuts so my 1 year old could eat it. It was nice and moist and not too sweet. I'd definitely make it again.

I followed the recipe as is, but cut the sugar by 1/2 like many people said, but I wish I didn't. Even with the lack of sugar, I wish that it had more flavor. I added cranberries which fit pretty well. Next time I'm going to try chocolate chips.

Delicious! The only thing I changed was that I added a crumb mixture to the top (sugar, cinnamon, flour, butter) but overall great recipe.

A very good, easy recipe that uses stuff already in your house. And I love transforming loaf recipes into muffin size--so portable and easy. A nice recipe...
