Came out great! I doubled everything but the water and there was still plenty of liquid. Used my potato ricer for the mashing part which gave it a great texture.

Great cinnamon flavor - adjust the cinnamon if you like more apple flavor. My sauce came out a little watery, but I used apples that were on the small side, so that may have been part of the problem. May adjust the amount of water next time.

This is very similar to the recipe I've used for years, only I use apple juice rather than water. Also a tad of lemon juice, and usually apple pie spice. Infinitely better than store bought!

Loved it. My apples were a little tart so I ended up using a tad bit more sugar for my personal preference. We're going apple picking this weekend and I will be sure to make this again.

Great! My family loves it. I make a large batch and freeze it. Turns out wonderful. My family likes smooth applesauce so I put the mixture thru the blender.

Excellent sauce - was a little sweet for me, so next time I will add just a little less sugar. Otherwise it was just perfect.

I doubled the recipe and made in the crockpot.I left the apples in big chunks and I cooked on high for 3 1/2 hrs. I wasn't sure what apples I was using(I had picked them in an orchard) so I followed the sugar amounts in the recipe. I agree with other reviewers depending on what apples are used adjusting the sugar might be needed. I really can't believe how easy this recipe was!

This is so delightful and so easy. I used 2 granny smith and 2 gala apples. I cut the sugar in half and used brown sugar. I also used 1/2 cup water and increased cooking time to about 40-45 minutes. It couldn't have been more perfect. I will make this again and again. Also, I chopped the apple up pretty small so that by the time it was done cooking there was hardly any mashing at all to do.

Quick and easy receipe. I used 8 Macs increased cinnamon to 3/4 teaspoon and added 1 tablespoon more of sugar (but that's our taste). 1st batched cooked in 20 miuntes 2nd batched in 25 minutes. cook longer if batch has more water after cooking time; it wll depend upon the apples. Since we like smooth applesauce I put cooked apples in a food processer. This is now my applesauce receipe. Off to buy "seconds" apples at the orchard so we can can applesauce. c

wonderful! I followed the exact recipe and I wouldnt change a thing. Use golden delicious for a little more chunk in your sauce, or macintosh for a more mushy sauce. I prefer golden delicious and small chunks in my applesauce so that is what I use. My whole family raved over this. Perfect served with porkchops and mac and cheese!!

Delicious. Perfect start to fall. I followed the recipe exactly and it was a bit watery at first but then upon cooling it thickened and it turned out great! Much better than store bought applesauce. I don't think I'll be able to eat that again after making this.

Living in Costa Rica sometimes makes it difficult to find foods taken for granted in the U.S. Needless to say, I was delighted to find this recipe - having never come across canned applesauce here in Costa Rica. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out great. I've made it a few more times and it always tastes wonderful. Thanks, Irene
