One of my all-time favorite drink recipes -- have made for various occasions now and everyone has always been pleased. Never had sangria before this, but I'm sure nothing else will compare.
I've tried this by the recipe, and also using the peach schnapps / rum swap - both are delicious, though I don't prefer triple sec quite as much. The first couple times I made it with Red Cat, bc that's the only type of red wine I know I like... however, after reading many reviews, I tried the cheaper red wine and it tastes just as delicious !!! No need to use the more expensive wine -- I'd save that for drinking it by itself. This sangria is fantastic.. thanks for the awesome recipe.
PS -- guests love eating the cherries after they've been soaked for a day !
