Finally got the chance to make this recipe over the weekend.. I used a Merlot, added the sugar and the 2 cups of GingerAle. The taste was fantastic... I will be making this again for sure..

Honed to perfection is right! I have been drinking Sangria for at least 35 years and this is the absolute BEST I've ever had. Made it exactly according to your directions, took it to a party last night, and everyone LOVED it. Thank you!

Did not like. Used top quality ingredients and it wasn't good. Not a good balance of ingredients, way too tart. Probably won't make again. If I do, I'll make adjustments.

I absolutely love this Sangria. I don't use the triple sec or the cherry juice but it still comes out great everytime. I have even made it without the brandy and it was still very good. Everyone raves about how great this Sangria is. I make it for almost every party I throw.

I made this recipe last summer for my boyfriend parents who are big wine drinkers. I used just a cheap bottle of red wine, peach schnapps instead of triple sec, and used mangos, oranges, and peaches.

This was wonderful! I served it for a party tonight and it was definitely a hit! EVERYONE loved it and went back for seconds-and thirds! Fantastic and tasted just like the sangria that I tried in Spain!

I made this for a party and everyone raved about it, even the ones who don't like wine. I used the sugar and ginger ale instead of soda, and it was perfectly sweet for all of us who like 'girly drinks'. Next time I will cut the orange rounds in half though, to make it easier to eat the boozed up fruit (which everyone was doing when the pitcher was gone). Definitely a keeper.

I doubled the recipe, using: Berringer's cabernet sauvignon, a total of 1/2 of sugar and no carbonated water. It was delicious!!!

Made this for the potluck dinner I had. It was really good. Next time I won't use as much lime and will put in other fruit like pineapple and cantaloupe.

I've been making this for a couple of years after having it at a friend's party...you can't beat this recipe! But I make mine with white wine (it's so good I haven't tried the red yet!), usually a cheap pinot grigio--Barefoot is great! I don't add the sugar, but do use ginger-ale instead of club soda. Like so many others have said, DEFINITELY make the night before...it needs time for the flavors to marinate. I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could!

This is a great base recipe, you can add any fruit you like and it still tatest great! I would agree with other reviews that throwing this together and letting it "marinate" overnight is key to the outcome.

So easy and really good. I made this for a party and everyone was asking me for the recipe. One thing I would do differntly next time... I would add about a cup more of wine and maybe a little less orange juice.

This is delicious! I used half of a sliced orange and half the amount of club soda. Added this and let the whole thing sit overnight. It was the best I have ever had, and friends said the same thing too. Very satisfying and refreshing. Thank you.
