This was fantastic and will be regularly made in my house now!! I used ginger ale as a topper, really tasty. Only problem is it ran out too fast :)

Wonderful! This has become my favorite summer drink. My guests love it and never fail to ask for the recipe. I don't alter the recipe at all because it's perfect as is. Thanks for sharing.

I love this Sangria! After visiting Tapas restaurant in NYC, I tried hard to find a similar recipe to make my own, and this one is the closest by far.

This recipe is the best one yet. I quadrupled the recipe and it went in about an hour! I added some more fruit than what is in the recipe and it does not need the carbonated water. Thanks!

I made this last summer for a big outdoor birthday party. Everyone drank this instead of the beer, and I had an entire keg left over. It was the best sangria I have ever made or drank! I did cut up apples, so there would be more edible pieces. I did make it the night before, and it was perfect.

The crowd pleaser! It vanishes everytime I make it! Only added about a tablespoon of sugar. This time I let people take it how they wanted it...over gingerale, stright up or over Asti Spumante champaigne. SOOO GOOD! Make sure you double or triple the recipe and make a day ahead.

Finally found a keeper Sangria recipe!!! Almost gave up making it because it came out too tart. No leftovers with this recipe. I didn't use the sugar but the maraschino cherry juice (to taste) 1/2 jar juice to start with. Also I used ginger ale (instead of c. water) but let everyone add it themselves to their own taste! Everyone liked it!

made this recipe twice now, first time followed recipe exactly, little to tart for my liking, second time left out the lemon juice. and i had let it steep for 24 hours(hard thing to do, but well worth it!)

I made this recipe for my sisters bridal shower. I was very excited since the reviews were so great. I was pretty disappointed. It was very tart. I added ginger ale and some extra sugar and used a Merlot. I'm going to try another batch tonight and use less lemon. Hopefully that will work out better.

I made this for my husband's family reunion and it was a huge hit! Guys who said they didn't care for Sangria were coming back for more and the beer was hardly touched. I used carbonated water - otherwise it might be too concentrated. I cut up the fruit into smaller pieces as other suggested. Also, know that while the taste is smooth, this stuff is potent. I'll definitely make it again.

Delicious! After the first batch finished people asked for more. It is a quick fix and very tasty. I substituted Lemon/Lime soda for the carbonated water and it was great if you like a sweet drink.

Made this for a neighborhood pool party and everyone loved it. A very forgiving recipe, followed the recipe until I found I had another bottle of opened red wine so threw it in along with a some of the other ingredients, let it sit all day and served it up.
