Made a quadruple batch for my 40th birthday party and it was a huge hit. Every drop was consumed and I should have made more!

Pretty good sangria. Not sure if it's similar to the real thing or not but it was pretty good and I would make it again. I liked it better with some ginger ale added to it also.

I made this for a Halloween party and all my girlfriends loved it! Even the husbands enjoyed it. I made my "Witch's Brew Sangria" even more dramatic by putting my punch bowl into a bigger Halloween bucket surrounded by dry ice and water. The eerie foggy effect was perfect!

This is the best Sangria recipe. Period. I serve this at least once a month at my Yappy Hours (I own a little doggie daycare) and everyone raves about it and want the recipe! I do some modifications however. I HATE the bitterness that most sangrias have so instead of sliced citrus I use mango, pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, etc - anything but fresh sliced citrus so you don't get the bitterness of the rind.

I have made alot of Sangria. By far this has been the best recipe. I served it at a Bunko party, and everyone loved it.

oh my god this was good. it was a lot of prepwork but for a party or shower its perfect. it was a hit at my sisters bridal shower. i did make some substitutions as recommended by some of the other reviewers and i was glad i did. first of all i used cherry brandy instead of regular brandy, i wanted a little sweeter recipe. i was afraid it would be too strong. i used frozen cherries because my supermarket didnt have fresh and delish and easy! the fruit soaked up a lot of alcohol so we were sucking on the pieces long after the sangria was gone and they were heavenly. i would recommend this recipe anyday and will definitely make it again!!!!!

This is the best sangria I have ever tasted. I only added one bottle of soda water because there was no room in the large container I used - it was a multiple recipe for a big party. Every bit of it was gone at the end of the evening. Thanks!

Worth the wait! I forgot to make this the night before and started early in the morning, but this recipe definitely gets better with time! It's a lot of ingredients and could break the bank if you don't have alot of things on hand, but it well worth it!

Great recipe! I also didn't make enough and both the men and women at our BBQ enjoyed this! I also substituted the carbonated water with 7up and didn't add the sugar. Pay no mind to the reader who didn't like this because they tried "the real thing" in Mexico - someone should tell them that this is a Spanish drink!

I made this for a party. Even those who "don't like Sangria" loved it. Some preferred to add club soda instead of lemon-lime soda (which they found too sweet).

This is gooooooood....and strong! I made this for my daughters 1st birthday party. I had several people comment on how good it was and they aren't even drinkers. Definitely let it sit at least overnight! I didn't add the 7-up or club soda, but I might try that next time cause I think that would be really good too!

This was delicious and easy to make. It even gets better as it sits. i didn't have regular brandy on hand, so i substituted apricot brandy. After 24 hours I removed the fruit so it wouldn't ferment or turn bitter. One week later, I had some leftover and it was even more delicious. I used Cabernet Saugvignon for the wine.

HOLY MOTHER OF SILENUS! What a concoction. Fruity, flavorful and very very strong. Not that this needs any more alcohol added to it but it is also fantastic with champagne substituted for the club soda.

Ahh... sangria as it should be. I did not add the sugar, but did add about 1 cup of club soda. I also threw in an apple. Perfection in a pitcher. Yum.

Great! I think I am still hungover from this wonderful sangria we made 2 nights ago! It was perfect with the Tortilla Espanola & Paella I made. We taste tested it without Gingerale first - it was terrific, then with Gingerale and it was terrific. Fun to make, fun to drink and looks so pretty! Thanks.

I made this and was only able to let it set for 5 hours before serving, everyone loved it. I was glad I made a double batch. I also only had cherry flavored brandy and it worked out great. I did omit the sugar. Perfect.
