"This is a delicious filling that is put onto hamburger (or hot dog) rolls and baked in the oven. Fantastic for a cold weekend day when the kids need a good lunch. This recipe came from my mother. It has been one of my favorite recipes for over 30 years." — CYBERWOLF

lean ground beef
finely chopped onion
chopped black olives
chopped pimento peppers
1 (8 ounce) can
mushrooms, drained and chopped
extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 teaspoons
salt and ground black pepper to taste
hamburger buns, split
Mmm, mmm, good. I didn't have the pimentos, but I did have a can of red kidney beans, so I used that instead. I also added 2 finely chopped garlic cloves along with 1/2 a tsp of sugar and this came out really good. To me, this is a 5 star keeper. Thanks for sharing.

I used veggie crumbles instead of beef and salsa instead of tomato sauce, but these were very good! They were somewhat like mini pizzas.
