I have been using this recipe to give as gifts for several years. It appeared in a Taste of Home magazine 4 - 5 years ago. I sell real estate part time, and I like to give this as a thank you gift to clients. I use the pestel from my mortar bowl to pack down the ingredients tight, too.

There aren't enough liquid ingredients in this recipe... it turned out way to firm and rubbery. Thumbs down to this recipe!

I have used this recipe for cake walks and everyone just loves them because they can decide when to make the brownies, instead of ending up with a lot of cakes to eat all at once. Just jazz up the jar with ribbons suited for the holiday or function and watch people enter into the walks for this nifty little gem.
