Very good. I used yellow squash, added more cheese and put crushed ritz crackers on top and drizzled melted butter on top. It was a nice change.

I used yellow squash for this because it is what I had around. My friends loved it and ate every bite. I may have overcooked it because it was a little mushy, so next time I will reduce the cooking time.

This is a really nice combination of flavors. I went a little heavy on the salsa, which was a happy mistake. Turned out kind of soupy and was wonderful for dipping a warm tortilla.

This was great! I was so tired of squash recipes that were sweet, so I was eager to try this one. The flavors worked together well, much to the surprise of my bf who didn't think this was going to work at all.

This recipe used a lot cooking methods and I think it took me longer to clean the dishes/pans than it did to cook, but it was great. I didn't have shredded cheese, so I used 4 slices of cheese between layers it was warm, gooey and delicious!

I enjoyed this a whole lot and so did my husband! He likes the taste of squash but not so much the texture of squash in general. So, next time I'm going to add more squash and after steaming it, smash it before baking that way he doesn't get weirded out by the texture. But definitely delicious!

I took the advise of the other reviewer (thank you grannyloo) and used zuchini and summer squash for the perfect summer side dish. I sliced the onion and doubled the garlic. Used a medium salsa and served with baked haddock. Yum

I have to give this top rating even though I thickly sliced zucchini and yellow squash instead of butternut. The only other change I made was to use gruyere in place of cheddar. Salsa is a perfect choice with squash--don't know why I never thought of it. The combination of sauteing and baking gives the squash nice crusty edges, which I love.
