I always pound boneless chicken for recipes like this as i find the chicken is so much more tender and flavorful. I know it's not fun to pound chicken but its worth the effort. I cover the chicken with tin foil and use my rolling pin. I made this with homemade taco seasoning and it came out very moist and quite delicious.

I am rating this so highly for two reasons 1) I love recipes that are simple - 5 ingredients or less. 2) It was really quite tasty, and my hubby absolutely loved it, as did I. So so simple which is always a big +.

THIS RECIPE IS AMAZING! I'm not a huge salsa fan and neither is my husband, but we somehow had 2 jars, and not a ton of ingredients on hand. I used the taco seasoning and salsa, and then some cheese sauce (from a jar), and I sprinkled some random shredded cheese that we had, and mashed up some Fritos to add some crunchiness. This is truly one of the BEST chicken recipes that I've made. I will DEFINITELY be making this a LOT in the future. Thanks!!!

This was great! I used homemade salsa and it was so juicy! Next time we want chicken tacos I think I'll make the chicken this way and then shred it when it comes out of the oven. That would be so easy and delicious

Yum! I got home from work and realized that I'd neglected to take the chicken breasts out of the freezer. I plopped 3 large, frozen chicken breasts in the baking dish, sprinkled a packet of taco seasoning over them and spooned some medium salsa on top, then into the oven at 375 for about an hour. Then I shredded them with a couple of forks and put it back in the over for about 10 minutes to make sure every shred was seasoned, then made soft tacos with shredded lettuce and cheese. So easy, very tasty! Even my meatloaf-and-mashed-potatoes husband liked it.

I gave it 4 stars because it is so dang easy.. Lacked a bit in flavor for me. I made it as suggested but next time will experiment with fresh salsa and make my own seasoning.

Perfect weeknight meal! You can get this in the oven in 2 minutes. I used taco seasoning I from this site (you can really cut down on the sodium when you make your own). Chicken turned out tender and delicious.

Being single, I tend to freeze meals a lot. This recipe was great. I put some salsa in bottom of crock pot, seasoned 6 pieces of chicken in ziploc bag with taco seasoning in it, placed chicken in pot and covered with the rest of the salsa. Six hours later, I divided the chicken into containers with juice added in each. Then froze. They have been so good to take to work and re-heat. I didn't use the sour cream at all.

This recipe was VERY easy and tasted great. I spread some fat free refried beans over the chicken before the salsa, and used reduced fat cheese, and fat free sour cream to make it a bit lighter. My whole family enjoyed it!

This was AMAZING!!! Tender, juicy. I lightened it up with low fat cheese and low fat sour cream...I'm SO glad I have leftovers!!! A side of multi-grain rice and broccoli and it was gone. Thank you for this wonderful piece of heaven!!!

This was delicious, my husband was very skeptical about salsa on his chicken, but he and both my kids took seconds which makes this recipe 5 stars in my book!
