my mom has been making these for years, and i thought it was great that there was actually a recipe out there similar to hers! i always think it's funny that canned salmon can taste this good :) i agree with the others that you should play with different additions, but that's part of the fun with this recipe - you can adjust the ingredients to serve with different sides. a little green pepper or green onion and old bay seasoning is an easy favorite that you can eat alone or serve over mixed greens with a vinaigrette.

I went the Pam route on this recipe in a non-stick pan and had absolutely no trouble with it. The patties browned and did not stick. I adjusted the recipe for health's sake using eggbeaters, and whole wheat bread crumbs with my own seasoning, and a little parsley. Very tasty and easy.

I was also craving salmon patties and these were great! I added green onion instead of onion and hot sauce for some bite, but I think they would've been good with out the changes. I will definately be making these again. Thanks for the recipe!!

I baked these in muffin tins, the way my Mom does. She lines sides of each cup with a piece of bacon -- very delicious, but sort of defeats the purpose of baking them, instead of frying!

I've made these many times, trying the recommendations in the reviews. The panko makes it taste so much better, I also use garlic and onion powder, paprika and a little cayenne. I had some leftover vegetables today and put the patties on top of a bed of baby spinach with red onion, and drizzled over a little bit of balsamic vinaigrette with Maille mustard. Turns this into a totally different, but still simple dish!

Great basic recipe, and a tasty and easy way to add fish to your diet! We have tried several additions to add some stronger flavor - our favorite is to add 1 tsp of crushed red pepper, which gives it a kick!

Definitely the best way to have canned salmon! My picky kids liked it, and so did my husband, who hates canned salmon. I used butter cracker crumbs in place of dried bread crumbs and added salt and pepper. This will appear on our menu frequently!

I enjoyed this very much. I added about 1 tsp dill weed and 1 stalk celery. I didn't add the crumbs as I was trying to make it "low carb". This will become a regular meal in my house. And the lemon sauce from this site was also excellent.
