Yum Yum Yum. There is something to the combination of dried mustard, worcestershire, ketchup and the condensed french onion soup that is complex and tangy and ooooh so good. Big hit with ALL of the family. Like to add additional can of beef broth so there is more sauce to use as gravy for mashed potatoes.

This recipe is very good. One of my husband's new favorites. As suggested by another reviewer, I do double the gravy recipe, but not the ketchup, and I do add a package of mushroom and onion dry soup mix. It is simple and delicious.

This recipe was excellent. I base my rating not only by how a dish tastes, but also how easy it is to make. As a mom of 3, time is critical. The only substitution I made was I used a can of condensed beef broth instead of the french onion soup since I don't really care for onions in the first place, but mainly because I didn't have a can of the soup available. I also sauteed a small can of button mushrooms and added those to the grave. Really tasty dish...great recipe!!!

This is the 2nd time to make this recipe. My hubby thinks it is the most delicious Salisbury Steak ever! Easy recipe and will continue to use it. I cut down on the ketchup, as others suggested, and it's all good!!! Thank you for sharing!

This was delicious. My husband loved it and said it was the best salisbury steak he has ever had. just don't go overboard on the ketchup and mustard powder, or it can overpower the meat! Great recipe

The patties come out great. I had no problems with them falling apart. The key is to only turn them once. The sauce I will work on the next time I make it though. The ketchup was a little weird for us so I may just cut it back next time as the sauce looked more red than brown. Overall a good recipe though. Will be making it again.

Over all this recipe was pretty good. It did fall apart for me also and just a bit too much ketchup. I will make again with less ketchup.

Amazing taste. I followed the directions exactly, except I added an extra can of soup to the gravy. I don't like the preparation directions, however. I have my own way of preparing it, which involves cooking the patties in the oven, and then adding them to a stove top thickened gravy. That's what's easiest for me, but I don't think there's a right or wrong. This recipe is very versatile.

I mince an onion with a hand blender and mix it with the beef instead of the condense onion soup. my whife hates beef, but not when I make salisbury steak. and my girls like it.

I really enjoyed this dish, and my husband loved it! I didn't have any trouble with my patties falling apart. I let mine cook a little longer instead of just browning. I think that helps alot.

This is good stuff. I made it exactly like the recipe the first time & it came out GREAT!!! I'm actually making it again tonight but I'm going to make the patties slightly thinner. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

I mixed the patties with the breadcrumbs, 1/2 of the french onion soup, garlic powder and onion powder, sauteed them on the stove, then sauteed some mushrooms and onions and put the patties and the onions/mushrooms in an oven dish. This rating is based on the patties as I did not want to use the ketchup/soup/dry soup mixture for the sauce. I deglazed the pan with some beef broth and because I didn't want to waste the other 1/2 of the french onion soup I added that in, then added some light cream and a dollop of dijon mustard and cornstarch to thicken it up. The patties doused in this sauce made them edible. Everyone ate theirs but didn't go back for seconds.

Tender but TERRIBLE flavor. The French Onion soup tated so very artificial. It tastes NOTHING like any salisbury steak that we have ever had.

I have to say even those these dig fall apart alittle, they were great. My kids loved them. They are so moist and tender as well, a far cry from a burger. To keep falling aprat to a min. I don't turn them a whole lot, the less I mess with them the better. I thought this was a cost effective receipe as well. Thanks
