Everyone liked this. I followed the recipe except for making my own bread crumbs. It was a bit too ketchupy for my tastes, but it was an easy quick meal.

I made this recipe for dinner a few nights ago. I thought it was great. The meat and gravy had a terrific taste. However, my kids (age 11 & 7) didn't feel the same. They thought the gravy had an ackward taste. Maybe the mustard powder? Next time I'll omit that ingredient and see what response I get from them.

You need to DEFINITELY cut the ketchup down to half, or double everything for the sauce except the ketchup. With these changes, it comes out decent.

This was good, but the mustard powder and catsup gave it a taste I didn't care for. Otherwise, the meat had good flavor and was tender and yummy.

This was really yummy. I doubled the sauce so we would have some for mashed taters. I pulled the patties out of the pan drained the excess fat then stirred in the gravy with the lovely little bits on the bottom of the pan then returned the patties and simmered. The gravy was much better tasting after it simmered with the meat. The patties were nice and tender! I will be making this one again for sure.

This was a huge hit with my family. I doubled the sauce as others did. I didn't have a can of onion soup so used beef broth and cooked some onions in butter and put them in. It was absolutely delicious. Will be making this one again. Thanks for sharing Kelly.

Made it exactly as written and to my surprise, It was Great! I did not double the sauce but will the next time. That's why it only gets 4 instead of 5. Cause as written it's not enough sauce. Oh and it was a bit oily....

I made the recipe exactly as written and thought it was great. It was easy to make and the steaks came out tender. Everyone in the family enjoyed it, my picky 6 year old actually ate it all which was surprising =)

The best salisbury steak recipe on this site. I replace the onion soup w/ beef broth and add onion powder. I do double the sauce and serve over rice. Bit hit in my house.

So Good! My husband and picky children loved this dish! I increased the gravy by doubling everthing but the ketchup(as suggested). I added a small can of sliced mushrooms to the gravy and sauteed onions which I put ontop of the browned patties and then into the oven, they turned out perfect. Paired nicely with homemade mashed potatoes and a ceasar salad. Will make again for sure!

Delicious! I added a can of cream of mushroom soup to the gravy and it was a hit! I also put it in the oven for 30 minutes on 375. Perfect!
