The family loved this, but because the gravy ingredients didn't look very appealing, I used Serena's advice and made gravy with dry mushroom-onion soup mix. This will go into the regular rotation.

Don't put worchestershire in the gravy, put it in the meat. It makes the gravy too salty.

We really liked this. I took others' advice and doubled the gravy recipe and so glad I did. I baked it in the oven after browning. I also added a a packet of brown gravy mix. I forgot the Worcestershire sauce, but don't know if that made any difference. The only complaint I have is that there was quite a bit of grease in the gravy. I will probably choose leaner ground beef next time.

I added a can of mushroom soup for the gravy and added some dry onion soup mix to to the gravy and the ground beef. Otherwise, I followed the recipe as stated. It was delicious! My picky eating 4 & 5 year olds even liked it!

Made as directed and while the actual salisbury steaks were good, the gravy was not. Noone liked the flavor and mostly ate only the meat and noodles I made to go with it. I don't think I did anything wrong, but the onion soup flavor was so overpowering.

I thought that this was delicious!! I will make again. I made exactly as directed, except that I cooked it on the lowest of low for an extra half hour while my other dishes were cooking. It was so soft, it was practically falling off. But, so delicious!! I really enjoyed the flavor.

I read reviews and changed the recipe a little. I used 1 package of Lipton dry onion soup mix. I mixed 1 tablespoon of the dry soup mix and 1/3 cup of water in the meat mixture. I browned the patties on the stove. I mixed the remainder of the onion soup mix with 1 cup of water and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. I put the patties in a casserole dish and topped with gravy mixture. I baked in oven for 30 minutes. This was fantastic. I served with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy for the patties and potatoes. This was very easy and quick to make.

I read the reviews and doubled the sauce (all except the ketchup), added the can of cream of mushroom soup, and a packet of dry onion soup mix and extra spices (garlic, seasoning salt, etc). I also browned the patties on the stove and then cooked them in the oven for 40 min on 350. My husband and father LOVED the recipe! You will need to double the gravy. There is just enough with it doubled.

Really good gravy. I didn't have canned soup so I used a package of Lipton's onion soup mixed with 2 cups of water. I always have in on hand and it was just great. It's a keeper

This was great. Neither my husband or I had ever had salisbury steak, but we like it. Made it exactly as the recipe was written, except I added four or five sliced mushrooms with the sauce. Wish there was more sauce but I'm not sure how to increase it without actually doubling it.

I made this a few times with just a little tweaking. I made the ground beef mixture as written, but then I just took 2 packs of dry brown gravy mix and made as directed and added the rest of the onion soup to it. I then poured it over the browned hamburger patties and baked for 40 minutes at 350. My family loves this recipe.

Made this tonight for dinner, DH and I both loved it. I cooked fresh mushrooms and added a can of cream of mushroom soup to the gravy. Next time would not add ketchup. Perfect meal for cold nights, and very easy.

I made this to a T and it was fantastic!!! I really enjoyed the flavors together. My BF was scared that it would be too much like meat loaf but when he went for seconds I knew it was good. Thank you Kelly! I will be making this again.

My husband and children ask for the recipe at least once or twice a month. Needless to say, this is one of those stained recipes in my cookbook. This recipe is very easy to follow. Thanks for sharing.
