Good recipe, family chowed on this one. My spoiled son had two bowls. Only change I made was to use 4 chicken bouillon cubes instead of the salt, just to cut down on salt and boost flavor. It is a keeper. Make sure to use a good brand of chicken stock, or better yet, homemade (its not hard and you can freeze it). It make a HUGE difference in flavor in any dish!

This soup is freaking awesome. I also made exactly as described and was perfect. The only thing I added was shredded cheddar and real bacon pieces on top. OMG---this is a keeper! Thanks again.

Not that this recipe needs anymore 5 star reviews, but I had to. This is soooooo good. I followed directions exactly no changes and it was great!

Delicious and easy! I halved the salt, and it was still plenty flavorful (perhaps because I used normal-sodium chicken broth). My only complaint is that I severely scalded my mouth, eating this ambrosial soup too quickly!

This is the best soup I have EVER made. My husband, usually not a soup fan, loved this, too. The dill was perfect. I did not use leek - used chopped sweet onion instead. Also used whole milk instead of cream as that is what we had. Fantastic recipe!

Want them to think you're an expert cook? Make this. I like a thick broth so, thanks to other reviewers, I increased the flour. But that's just a matter of preference. As to the taste... how does one improve perfection? Thank you, Dteresa.

Excellent and hearty soup. I only had 1/2 a cup of cream, but found it thick enough. Next time I will use a huge white onion as that adds a lot of flavor. My husband said more salt and dill.

Even though this soup is very good, I decided to give this 4 stars because it's not one that I'll make again. It is good, but it didn't stand out in any way. While eating it, my enitre family thought of other potato soups they liked better.

I would have to agree with another reviewer. Despite the overwhelming great reviews on this, I thought it was a bit watery and just not all that great tasting.

My husband was craving for some of his mother's homemade Russian soup, and this more than satisfied his appetite! Thank you! If you would like some extra protein in there, I cut up some turkey sausage and had with my extra leftover soup, it was delicious!

My mom and her boyfriend liked this recipe, but I didn't like it. It was a bit watery from the broth and just wasn't very good. But maybe it's just me.

Yumm!!! It is so easy and simple to make. I made it according the recipe the first couple of times and then I decided to make it my own. I have tried several alterations and my new favorite is useing white onions. It adds more flavor. This has become a stable in my kitchen and I feel that I will be using this recipe for years and years to come. Thank you!

Good! I made it in the slow cooker and in the last hour, i took a cup of the liquid and put it in a saucepan, and added the mixture of flour and sour cream.

A really great soup on a crisp autumn day. Hearty and flavorful, and really easy to make. My family seemed alittle skeptical when I told them mushroom and leeks, but after trying it they changed their attitudes. Raved about how good it was and said I need to make it again...so I'll be making it again...but next time I'll use regular potatoes instead of baking potatoes as they softened up too quickly, and left a gritty texture to the soup. Still wonderful...Thanks

This is one of the best soups I have ever made! I cooked mine in the slow cooker, that's really the only thing I did differently. My boyfriend, son and I loved it very much. What a fabulous way to welcome the cold weather ahead. Thanks.
