This wasn't the BEST icing. I thought it had to much sugar. I had trouble by trying not to be TOO messy. Over all it was good. :)

I love this! I like to add lots of water so that it's syrupy and dip my sugar cookies in it!

We loved this frosting. We did subsitute almond extract for the lemon. It took several hours or over night to set frosting completley

Like the others, I did have to add a lot more sugar than the recipe states, but it tasted great even with the extra sugar.

I agree with a number of the other reviews. This icing was okay, although it was a bit loose, so to get it to set, I used quite a lot of sugar. As a result, it was very sweet.

My mom and i used to decorate cakes for wedddings. She used this recipe all the time for the fine details used on the cakes. Her tip was to use a drop of blue food colouring to keep the icing a brilliant white.

This is the first time i tried royal icing n it turned out pretty good. i used it to decorate my cookies n the icing hardened well in the fridge. but smelled of raw eggs which was a turn off. even the guests noticed which was very embarrassing!

Icing came out good. I'm not much of an expert when it comes to decorating though. I don't know why the others batches came out to thin if anything I could of put a tbsp or two of water in my batch to thin it out.
