I liked this recipe. I think I would not cook it sooooo long. My fault that it was dry, becuase I cooked it in the crock pot all day long. I will try this again

This was really easy and pretty good. Next time I think I'll add more vinegar and brown sugar. I didn't have any onion powder so I sliced then halfed an onion. My kids actually liked this a lot. ---I served it over rice.

This dish was full of flavor and fork tender! I made it in the crock pot on high for about 4-5hrs. I used 1 c water and 1 c red wine, a garlic flavored brown gravy packet, and a few slices of fresh onion. Delish!

This meat turned out so tasty and fork tender. I have a big family so I doubled the recipe and used the suggestion to use 3 tablespoons of brown sugar and 4 to 6 T of red wine vinegar and 2 T of Worchest. I doubled all this and the gravy and baked it at 350 degrees for 1.5 hours. It was excellent!

Easy and tasty recipe for round steak! I cooked the browned meat in my slow cooker for over 8 hours on low, increasing the seasoning amounts for more flavor. When the meat is done and tender enough, remove, and thicken the gravy by your chosen method. Serve with buttered pasta shapes of your choice. Very nice!

I went against my better judgement and made this in spite of the bad reviews and I have to agree with everyone else. I gave it one star instead of zero because it was edible. I got it down, I just didn't enjoy it.

This is very good! I used the cider vinegar because I prefer the taste. I also flavored with beef base and thickened with flour before serving instead of the gravy mix. The flour or gravy mix tends to stick while cooking. This is even better in the crock pot.

This recipe is so good and so easy. I also added a bit more vinegar and brown sugar to the recipe, except I used brown sugar twin so the diabetics in the family could also enjoy the meal. It turned out wonderfully! I also transferred it to the crockpot, and let it cook in there all day instead of on the stove. I serve it with buttered and peppered noodles, and sweet & sour red cabbage. Es schmecht gut!!

Great recipe. So close to the Sauerbraten I've had at German restaurants. Next time I will double the sauce recipe. Will definitely make again.

Wonderful, very tasty. It's challenging to find a good recipe for a tough piece of meat. Can't say the kids liked it though...

I followed the suggestion of a few other people & put the whole thing in the crock pot. YUM! The meat came out so tender & it had just the right amount of tang to it. I will definitely be keeping this recipe in my recipe box, thanks!

I have had this recipe in my box for two years and can't wait for each autumn so I can make it again. It is outstanding. It even passed my German in-law test. The meat is tender and juicy and it fills my house with amazing aroma.

Awesome recipe! Everyone in my family loved it. It is as close as you can get to Sauerbraten without using some kind of premade seasing package and having to soak the meat for 2-3 days. This saves a lot of time. One note however, I used my crockpot. The meat ended up being super tender!

Followed recipe exactly. My husband and I both thought it was okay, probably won't make it again. The meat came out kind of dry, but the flavor was pretty good.
