Fantastic year round turkey recipe. It was my very first time making a turkey and it came out perfectly moist and tasty. Will definitely put this in my recipe book! Thanks so much for sharing!

This was the most tender and juicy turkey I've ever tasted! The seasonings were wonderful. Have used this recipe several times now and it always turns out great. Thanks!

I'm updating this review, because I've made it now four times. It's still the only way I'll ever make turkey. SUGGESTIONS: Instead of water, I use a good chicken broth for the bath. Another member also suggested using the rub on the cavity of the bird. Works great. Don't stuff this turkey. Slice a small onion and a peeled apple into quarters and throw the pieces into the cavity. Great aroma and flavor - and improves the gravy. After rubbing under the skin down to the tips of the drumsticks, I use an embroidery needle and twine to sew up the cavity. This is fun! Then I tie the drums together. I have had lots of guests try this bird, and EVERYONE loves it. ALWAYS MOIST. Not nearly enough leftovers. Thank you for this addition to our family tradition.

MMMMM!! This came out fantastic. I loved this way of seasoning my turkey. I thinkt he mixture would also work well if I put it on some potatoes and roasted them.

I use this recipe on whole chicken. I normally doctor recipes inspite of my best intentions of leaving the recipe as is...however with this recipe - it's right on the mark. I just eyeball the ingredients, toss it all together and stick it in the oven. There are never any leftovers (and there are only 2 of us in the house - LOL). I've used this recipe over and over - thanks!!

Had never made turkey before since I always worried that it would come out too dry. This was simple, and easy and the turkey came out fantastic. I have made it a few times, and I sometimes play around with different spice combinations. Never been disappointed.

Good Eats! I have never made a whole turkey (but the free frozen one from last holiday season needed t meet the oven). I used the turkey brine recipe from this site, and then I rubbed this on top of the skin just before roasting in the oven since my turkey was not into seperating skin from breast meat. The whole turkey making process is involved, but defiately tasty!

This was my first attempt at a cooking a turkey and it was fabulous. I used melted butter instead of olive oil. I didn't stuff the turkey so I put a few apples and onion for additional flavor. I will definatly make again!

We had this for Sunday dinner and it was wonderful. I simply put it in the oven and left to go skiing. When we came home the house smelled great and the turkey was so moist we did not even need the gravy I made with the drippings. This will be how our turkey is made each time not. I am using the left-overs to make Turkey Noodle Soup (from this site) tonight.
