This recipe was given to me at a Christmas cookie exchange. Try using rum extract in place of the vanilla for extra nippy flavor.

Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

These cookies are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They are simple to make and kids love to lick the frosting off the tops. Butter flavoring is in the buttercream for added flavor. You can find it in most supermarkets, in the baking aisle, where there are other flavorings such as vanilla.

Crispy sugar cookies. Not too sweet or too plain. Great for holidays or other special occasions or just for any time.

Star shaped Spritz cookies are sprinkled with edible glitter before baking. They are sure to put a twinkle in your eye for the holiday season.
