I LOVE THIS DISH!!! this is my 3rd time making it, tonight I made shortcuts on count of time, I got a jar of roasted red bell peppers, cut down on ingrediants, used less lasagna because I wanted to taste more of the bell peppers and it was great! I always love this because I get tired of meaty lasagna's all the time. I would reccommend to anybody!

This recipe is delicious! I have made it a few times for friends and family, and it was a huge hit. The meatiness of the roasted peppers is just enough to satisfy the meat eaters - everyone commented on how flavourful and yummy it was. Well worth the effort (although it's not as time consuming as you would expect). Only changes I made was more white sauce, I also used mozzarella cheese. The first time I made it, it was a little dry (but still good!) I highly recommend this recipe! It was my first time roasting peppers, and it was a lot easier than I anticipated! TRY THIS RECIPE!!!!

This turned out great! A little time consuming but worth it. I used whole peeled tomatoes from a jar and added some mozzarella cheese as well. Otherwise I followed the recipe as is. My husband isn't a huge veggie eater and he even liked it. Although he did suggest adding some spicy saugage to it next time (making it not so healthy). I'll definitely continue making this and maybe adding some more veggies next time. Yum!

Fantastic recipe. I tweaked it a little: I added two layers each of cooked chicken breast, whole black olives (same layer as chicken), and ricotta cheese. It certainly wasn't a vegetarian dish when I was through, but it tasted GREAT.

I added some shredded chicken to this as one member of my family refuses to eat meat free meals. It was nice but next time I would add more veges like some mushrooms & spinach.

For all the work that went into this one, I was expecting "more". Flavour is mild and mine seemed to be on the runny side (even after I let it rest 15 minutes). I used whole wheat noodles and even extra fresh parmesan.

My (meat-loving) boyfriend and I (vegetarian) both love this dish. I tend to use roasted red peppers from a jar. The taste difference isn't big enough to me to bother with the extra time roasting them myself. I use about double the cheese listed and use an italian cheese blend. Also, especially when I use no-boil noodles, I add an 8-oz can of low-sodium, plain tomato sauce, to the red pepper sauce when I add in the crushed tomatoes. That gives just enough more to help cover, as other reviewers have noted can be an issue. Looks small compared to traditional lasagna, but has great flavor!

My husband and I are trying to eat much healthier these days and this recipe looked like a delicious way to accomplish that, and it was! This was so flavorful and delicious. My husband, who is a big meat lover, never missed the meat at all. Two things I did that I think really enhanced the recipe is I used FRESH basil (I never used dried if I can avoid it) and I also used hard parmesan reggiano cheese that I grated myself (never use the stuff in the can - yuck). I also added some goat cheese, which we love and I think compliments the flavor of the red peppers really well. I you love roasted red peppers like we do then you HAVE to try this recipe! The leftovers were even better the next day. Thanks so much for this recipe!!

I did not care for this at all. The combination of the tangy tomato sauce with the sweet red peppers, just not appealing.

This was great! My boyfriend and I both loved it! I used fresh tomatoes bc I didn't have canned tomatoes, and it turned out excellent. I recommend using all fresh herbs if possible, especially fresh basil. Also, next time I would add some more red peppers. This is definitely a winner.

I've never made my own lasagna before. This was easy to follow. I did add an italian cheese mix and spinach. Being a meat lover we really noticed it's absence and if we made it again would add that in. Going through the pepper roasting process is a bit involved so I'd double the prep time listed .

This was excellent. I didn't change a thing except that my peppers didn't take quite as long to broil...maybe 15 minutes. I considered adding mozzarella as some others suggested but I'm glad I didn't. The taste was delicious and I liked that it was 'lighter' then other lasagnas that can be too rich from the ricotta and mozzarella.

I loved this lasagna! As opposed to other reviewers, I didn't think it was more work than any other lasagna you make from scratch. My one time-saving tip would be to get all your ingredients ready while the peppers are cooling. That way, it really just becomes a matter of throwing everything into a couple of pots. I didn't change anything. It was delicious!

First, I have to agree w/ h82ck: I could have used more pepper sauce when it came time to construct the layers. For someone who is *trying* to become a cook (me), this recipe is a little intimidating. I thought I was never going to be done. Plan accordingly! My boyfriend, however, is still talking about it, and I grudgingly admit that I absolutely loved it as well. Meat is normally what we base our main courses around, and for a vegetarian dish, this was unbelievably filling and satisfying. We are adding this to permanent recipe rotation and I will make it again as soon as I am up to the challenge!
