This is how I almost always make my mashed potatoes, tho' I of course don't measure - just add the ingredients to my liking and to get the right consistency. I've never added onion salt or garlic powder and I have to say I prefer the potatoes without these additions. Since I used these potatoes as the basis for "Twice Baked Mashed Potatoes," also from this site, I did not complete the freezing and baking step of this recipe.

Tasty, and work great for potlucks. I've taken this to church functions a couple of times - I can make it the night before then pop in the oven at church. Good recipe.

There was nothing special about these mashed potatoes. A little dry and uneventfull.

Making mashed potatoes is usually quite tasking for me (I have to use a ricer due to the "lump police"), so I wasn't keen on an additional step. But, these were really good! I'd definitely do these again, though I'd add something... Just can't quite nail down what it is I'd add.

Great combination of creamy flavor and seasonings. I used a bit more butter, and added salt, but the highlight was the creaminess that came from the sour cream and cream cheese. It was a hit!

I am going to try this right away. can tell by the ingredients that it will be very tasty, but I am more interested in how the texture is after freezing and reheating. I will let you know.
