This is one recipe that really doesn't need any revisions--it would be delicious exactly as written. However, I did add garlic with the carrots and onion, cut down on the salt (since I didn't have low-sodium broth), upped the pepper, and added a couple dashes of cajun seasoning and a diced tomato. These are based on personal preferences--we love garlic and spice. Mixed some shredded mozzarella cheese in too but I don't think it really needed it. Served with crab-stuffed salmon. Boyfriend LOVED it--scraped his plate completely clean and started thinking up other meals this would be good with as well.
