It was good after a few mods. I made the filling as instructed except I used 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white. I also added a 1/4 tsp cinnamon. I only used ahlf the amount of topping though. Quite good.

Yum. I didn't have any strawberries so I mixed 2 cups chopped royal gala apples (skin on) wit 4 cups rhubarb - turned out great. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I found the crumble topping too light and airy - I prefer a richer, denser more crunchy sweet topping.

This was delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and loved it! I didn't think the ratio was bad at all. I love the fruit and the topping and this was perfect with some vanilla ice cream on it. WONDERFUL!

This was really yummy! I used a little more fruit, & sprinkled a little cinnamon & nutmeg in with the topping, but kept everything else the same. I actually halved the recipe (& used 4 c. fruit) & baked in 7X11 pan. Never cooked rhubarb before, so wasn't sure how big the pieces should be. Turned out great though. Even 11 yr old liked it. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

This was really good! I made a slight alteration by first cooking the strawberries and rhubarb in a mixture of water, sugar, and cornstarch. End result was outstanding. Would definitely make this again.

YUUUUM! I put a little extra fruit...maybe 1/2 cup more rhubarb & 1 cup strawberries (just because I had them and didn't want to waste them.) and it was excellent. I also threw in a dash or two of cinim. & nutmeg to the topping for the fun of it, and it was yumicious also!

I bought one pound of Rhubarb. Cut to 1/2 inch dice, it made 4 cups. I also used 4 cups of sliced strawberries. Definitely could have used more. Too much topping. A little too sweet for us. We like our rhubarb tart!

Delicious and easy to make. A lovely spring dessert - I served it warm with just a little whipped cream on top and everyone cleaned their bowls. Thanks!

It was awesome and I didn't even have fresh ingredients. It was really good with a bit of vanilla ice cream to calm it down. I didn't change the recipe at all.

My favorite part of this recipe is the "crunch"...the topping of these bars. I used ripe strawberries that were very sweet, so I reduced the sugar. I used frozen rhubarb, which is hard to cut up if you let it get to soft (if you haven't cut it up before freezing it). My family enjoyed this recipe.

Awesome recipe. Didn't have enough strawberries or rhubarb, so I added some thawed frozen blackberries as well. Can hardly wait to make it this summer with vanilla ice cream.

I love this recipe! I have been making this dish for a number of years after Safeway put it in their ad one summer. I use half (or even less sometimes) the amount of white sugar and have even used SPLENDA before. I also only use 3/4 C of butter and just eye ball the rest of the crumble top to cut out a little of the fat and it still turns out great. Of course this is yummy to serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
