Just made this recipe - My changes: I added some seasonings (just random stuff I had - Oregano, Cajun seasoning, etc) to the egg mixture - both my wife and I liked the added seasonings. I also added seedy (wholegrain) mustard to the sandwich before grilling. And we didn't have any rye bread, so I just used wheat bread (I think both work well for Reubens), which was still tasty. Otherwise, pretty much the same. Definitely a very good sandwich. My wife loved it, and I liked it quite a bit. The added crunch of the corn chips was especially nice, as I most always add chips to my sandwiches (for that lovely crunch) anyway. I only learned about Monte Cristos were a couple of weeks ago (when I ate and loved one), but my Mom has made Reubens for my siblings & I ever since I can remember (sometimes without sourkrout for the picky eaters). The mixture is very interesting, and I was thinking about doing something similar before I'd even seen this recipe.

Excellent! I'm a big reuben fan, and this was a great twist on an old favorite. I am not a real experienced cook, so I followed the recipe as is, and it was a big hit!
