Wow! This is a hit! I changed up the dressing a bit. I left out the minced onion and added 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and 1/4 tsp. onion powder because I have family that can hunt out the tiniest piece of onion. They loved it! I made up the dressing and stored it in the fridge in a jar. It's ready when I am. This is a hit for potlucks too! All raves and wanted my 'secret' recipe.

This is the only coleslaw recipe I use from now on. I omit the buttermilk and increase the milk slightly. Fantastic.

THIS was a HIT at a family party last year...nothing left of it. Today I was going to make it for dinner and couldn't find my recipe---make sure to save this one to your rec. box--it is great!

I'm not a big fan of cole slaw, but this was great! Makes a sweet, not tart, cole slaw.

This recipe is a GREAT one! I have made it many times. I found a similar recipe in a cookbook by Todd Wilbur (Top Secret Recipes). In the cookbook this recipe calls for 8 cups chopped cabbage and 1/4 cup shredded carrots, everything else is the same. This may help if you are making your own mix. He also states to make sure to let cole slaw sit at least two hours before serving. Happy Cooking!!

This is my favourite recipe for coleslaw. I always grate my own vegies rather than buying the store bought packet. The coleslaw always tastes better the next day but it does become watery.

This is the best cole slaw ever! I always follow the recipe exactly as it is, however, the other day I really wanted to make it and I had no buttermilk so I doubled the milk. (My husband didn't even notice that it was slightly different.) It was still really good, but I would prefer to follow the recipe and use buttermilk.

Yummy, yummy, yummy!! My only complaint is that the coleslaw cabbage itself (the pre-shredded cabbage in a bag) was not fine enough. But that has nothing to do with the recipe. The dressing for this is soo good. I made the dressing the night before and kept tasting it right out of the bowl. I tossed the coleslaw with it an hour early. But we had a little leftover and today it is so much wetter and better. I might toss it earlier than an hour before next time. Definitely a keeper. Just have to find a smaller shred of cabbage.

This recipe was awesome. I used green onions cut very thin instead of white onion. I also cut the sugar way down and left out the milk, only using buttermilk. I let the dressing sit seperately in the fridge, from the cabbage/onion mix. I mixed all it together an hour before serving and added 1/2 can of drained pineapple cut in small pieces. I didnt notice any runniness and everyone went for seconds and thirds.

This is a great recipe! I also used splenda and increased the white wine vinegar to 2tbs. I shred a whole cabbage and add the dressing when I am ready to use the cole slaw as there are only 2 of us. Sometimes I add onion and green pepper, for a little different flavor which we really enjoy.

Excellent recipe! My only alteration was to not use the milk, as the cabbage will wilt and release some liquid from the salt. I think it makes it less runny. But a great combo of remaining ingredients.

Awesome recipe.... all I changed was that I added about 1/4 tsp of celery salt and 2 finely chopped celery stalks. Also sprinkled and mixed in some paprika and extra black pepper

Very good. There was a little too much liquid after it chilled, so next time I will cut back a little on the lemon juice or vinegar. But overall excellent - tastes exactly like what you would find at a restaurant!
