Good. I added some purple cabbage to this and used poppy seed dressing instead of the mayo and milk/buttermilk. I also used balsamic vinegar. Most of family are not fans of coleslaw and this was a big hit for our family.

Really good. To lighten it up, I used mostly nonfat yogurt instead of the mayo, then added the vinegar to taste since yogurt's pretty tangy. I swear, you won't miss the mayo!

My husband loved this, reminding him of his grandmother's coleslaw (as long as I shredded the cabbage very thin). I prefer a less creamy, sweet slaw, but for those who love theirs sweet and creamy, this is definitely the right recipe.

Very good! Everyone loves this one. I did alter it some though. I didn't use the milk & I doubled the mayo (I use the olive oil mayo) then I added an extra tablespoon of the vinegar since we like more tang.

I took some suggestions from others. Had no buttermilk so added slightly more milk, instead of onion used 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder and 1/2 tsp. of onion powder because our family does not like to crunch into an onion. I put mix in a large baggie and put liquid mix over it, sealed it and shifted it around until mixed well-wonderful, best i have ever had.

I made this for the first time yesterday for a family dinner. I followed the recipe exactly, and everyone loved it. It had wonderful taste and reminded me of my favorite restaurant coleslaw. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

Excellent! So much better and cheaper than store bought. Make sure and let it sit a while in the fridge before serving and remember that it shrinks quite a bit too. We served it with BBQ pork ribs and it was delicious!

This is a good basic recipe but it needs a few things. I added a few pinches of celery seed, a squirt of deli mustard, some chopped fresh parsley [this is a must] and some chopped red pepper. It was really delicious and colorful.

This coleslaw is the best! I have made it several times and the only thing I change is I add apple cider vinegar and about half the amount it calls for. I don't like much of a vinegar taste. I was actually surprised at how it holds up. It doesn't make the veggies soft, they stay real crunchy! Even a day later the vegetables still have a crunch to them! The sauce seems really thin at first when your whipping it up but just let it refrigerate for awhile and it turns out sooo creamy! Its good both ways...to eat it a few hours later where the sauce is creamy or eat it right away with the sauce a little runny. Excellent and the best!

This was very good although I felt like it had a bit too much lemon juice when I first tried it. Once it sat overnight the lemon flavor subided. I didn't have any buttermilk so I used 1/4 cup milk and 1 1/3 tsp. cream of tartar. And I just noticed that I completly forgot the onion but it was good anyway.

Thought this might be the one, but no way. Why is sugar and vineger put in every cole slaw recipe? If made with sour cream and mayo instead of buttermilk then it doesn't become so 'drippy'. Down South sweet cole slaw on Bar-B-Q just doesn't make the grade. Sorry

Very good! Did not change a thing. I was worried it had too strong of an onion flavor, but the longer it "marinaded", the less it tasted oniony. I would have it sit for at least 15 hours and as it starts to juice more, I would just move the slaw into another serving bowl, if you don't like it too runny.
