Yum! Yum! Yum! I LOVE coleslaw and this is my VERY favorite recipe! I make it all the time, but do, like alot of reviewers cut the sugar to 1/4 of a cup. Try it! You'll never go back to deli coleslaw!

Great coleslaw. Tasty and easy to make. One note: I chopped one head of cabbage. The amount was fine, but I would shred the cabbage next time.

This is so GREAT! The only thing I do different is just a 1/2 teaspoon of lemon. I don't really prefer to taste the lemon in my coleslaw. Other than that this recipe is very yummy! Thank you!

Fantastic KFC coleslaw!! I left out the minced onions (personal preference). I didn't have buttermilk, so I used regular milk (note that skim milk works fine in this recipe). I left the sugar amount as is, but would decrease it to 1/4 cup (as others suggested) for next time. I thought this was way too much dressing (I combined everything & let it sit overnight), so next time I will double the amount of coleslaw. Thanks so much for the recipe!

I doubled the recipe and added about a t. of poppyseeds as i like the look but would have been fab with or without 'em. Yum!

I will use this recipe for many years to come. I loved the flavor of the dressing; it's perfect. I did think there was more dressing than needed for the 16 oz. bag of cole slaw. I might omit the 1/4 c. of regular milk to cut down and also thicken up the dressing. Next time, I'll add celery seed (I love that at restaurants). Thanks so much for this keeper!

This was very, very good. My only alteration was to omit the onion, as we are not fans. I did add a sprinkle of onion powder just to give it a faint taste, though. Very good, and is the absolute closest I've had to KFC's (the only coleslaw I like). Thanks!

Loved this recipe! I could eat it as a meal. The only change I made was to leave out the buttermilk. I cant wait to make this for the next family cook out.

Made this last week in search of a specific coleslaw recipe I had in a restaurant last month. It was pretty close to what I was looking for. Was a little too much dressing for the 16 oz bag, in my opinion. The onion gave it a nice flavor, though, and hubby gobbled it right up. I would definitely make it again, but not before I find the slaw that I'm dying to replicate.

So great! Have made this twice in two weeks and took a double batch to a 4th of July party. My husband says this is the best slaw he's ever had. It's really good. the first one we ate right away, the second one was in the fridge for all day and it really didn't taste much different. I added celery seed and it made the whole salad. Will make this many more times to come.

Thank you Marsha for the best cole slaw recipe I have ever made. I have taken the advice of others and only put the dressing on when ready to serve, and the dressing does get better the longer it sets. Hubby took it to work and the daughter got ahold of it and licked the plate clean. She asked what store he got it from, he said Mom made it. I will be giving her your recipe. It's a keeper :)

This is one of the best coleslaw recipes I have ever made. I was even asked what store I purchased it at. I put only 1/4 cup sugar in it, and I used 1/2 cup milk with the 2T. lemon juice instead of the buttermilk. Everyone loves it.

This makes the best coleslaw! I never have buttermilk so I leave that out & make up for it with more milk, half the amount of sugar & it is fabulous!

Not too bad, however, not what I was looking for. I like a slight 'tang' to my coleslaw dressing (and am used to getting this in restaurants), but this had too much. It was very creamy though. I will make again, but reduce the lemon juice and vinegar next time. When you first pour the dressing on, it seems like there's not enough, but after it chills for an hour, it develops into that creamy consistency you're used to.

I don't really care for coleslaw, but my husband loves KFC so I made some of this for him. He loved it and his only comment was to maybe cut back on the vinegar a little bit. Thanks for the recipe!
