Just like KFC! Instead of the bagged mix, I just chopped up two heads of cabbage (minus the cores) and a large carrot as fine as I could and then doubled the sauce part. Went very well with BBQ pork sandwiches (from the crock pot).

This is great. I never have buttermilk on hand, so I just use regular milk and add a little extra lemon juice.

Too bland and too runny for my family. I will not make this again. I prefer the Sweet Restaurant Slaw recipe from this site. Sorry.

This is pretty good although I really thought it could use some more zip. Next time I think I'll decrease the sugar a bit and add a little more vinegar...maybe some horseradish too.

This is a winner. My husband says this coleslaw is better than at many restaurants he's tried. I pair it with pulled pork sandwiches & corn on the cob. Always a hit at my house.

Wow! I love this recipe. I didn't have any buttermilk, so I used sour cream as a replacement. I may stick to using it, as we loved it made this way.

Excellent. Nice and creamy. Suggest that you let it sit in the fridge for at least 4 to 5 hours to concentrate the ingredients.

This is a great slaw recipe! Have made several times, and my husband who is very ,very picky even liked it. The only fault I had the first time I made it was the end result was to runny. The secomd time I decided to ommit the buttermilk and use half the milk that the recipe calls for. I only had regular white vinegar on hand, did not use any lemon juice. Trust me these minor changes did not affect the taste of this great tasting recipe! * NOTE: The cabbage and carrots will lose water, the sugar will also break down into liquid form. The second batch was perfect, not runny, and oh so delicious!! Thanks for this flavorful recipe it is a keeper!

My husband and father in law loved this--I'm not a coleslaw person. I shredded green and red cabbage as well as the carrots. Thanks to previous reviews, I used an 1/8 tsp of celery seed and 1/2 tps onion powder. I also used low fat buttermilk and used it in place of regular milk as well. I did not use onions, but plan on trying that next time. I will make this again, thanks Marsha.

Yum! Yum! Yum! I LOVE coleslaw and this is my VERY favorite recipe! I make it all the time, but do, like alot of reviewers cut the sugar to 1/4 of a cup. Try it! You'll never go back to deli coleslaw!

Great coleslaw. Tasty and easy to make. One note: I chopped one head of cabbage. The amount was fine, but I would shred the cabbage next time.
