Simply divine..... for buttermilk I used about 1/2 tsp cream of tartar and 1/4 C of milk and let it sit for 15 minutes, and I used red wine vinegar instead of the white it calls for. This is even better than KFC if that's possible.

This recipe was divine. Best coleslaw I have ever made. I shredded my own cabbage along with some carrots and green onions. I let it sit for an hour and served it with pulled pork off of this site. I can imagine the would be even better if it were to sit over night. I will never buy coleslaw from the store again.

I left out the butter milk because I didn't have any, and substituted more white vinegar in place of the lemon juice. Very tasty!

This was just okay. I guess it does taste kind of like the chicken place, but it was kind of weird and lemony and too sweet. I'll keep looking for a keeper.

This recipe is awesome. I make this all the time. I leave out the minced onion, but make everything else exactly as the recipe says. Except, I never have buttermilk on hand, so I make my own with milk and lemon juice. This coleslaw is delicous! I used to think I didn't like coleslaw, but this recipe changed my mind!

I thought the taste of this coleslaw was amazing, but next time I would use mayonnaise instead of Miracle-Whip because it was really sweet! There was also too much sauce for the amount of coleslaw, so you might add another 1/2 bag of coleslaw if you don't like it runny. Otherwise, great recipe- thank you!!

This is the best coleslaw ever! I followed the recipe almost verbatim, except I chopped up the cabbage myself, I added a little crated carrot, and I used all buttermilk (or, rather, milk with vinegar which I then let sit), and I used lite mayo. It turned out amazing! I've made this so many times since I discovered this great recipe! The first time I made it, my husband said it tasted like KFC's, and I thought he was joking, having seen the recipe reviews I had left open on the computer as I was making dinner. Of course, he hadn't. This really does taste like KFC coleslaw. Thanks for a great recipe!

Yummers!! I made this a couple of times over the summer, we finished it off. It's as close to kfc as you can get, as that is pretty much the only kind we like. Excellent recipe Thanks.

MMMMM, this stuff is sooo good! And addicting! I could eat the entire thing. I am watching my weight though so i do make a few modifications but it still tastes amazing. I use all fat free milk (no buttermilk), Splenda instead of sugar and i use only 1/3c light mayo. I usually end up using a little more cabbage mix as well. YUMMY! Great way to get in a few veggie servings!

This coleslaw is excellent! I cut up my own coleslaw (.5 Small Green Cabbage; 2 carrots; .3 Small Red Cabbage) and added some cranberries and sunflower seeds. Yummy, it's just like my favorite coleslaw at the restaurant! Enjoy!

WOW!!! I always get rave reviews when I make this. I had little old ladies begging for the recipe. To get the extra water out of the cabbage wilt it using salt and allow to drain in a colander for a few hours. There is too much dressing so don't pour all on it at once until you have mixed it up and determined if you have enough.

This is the best coleslaw that I (and my husband) have ever had. I have made it for two large luncheons that I have put on and I have had many requests for the recipe.

It's PERFECT! I had never made coleslaw before and i was surprised at how authentic tasting it turned out! As another reviewer said, it tastes better than KFC coleslaw. Just the right amount of light sweetness and not too much tang. For the 'coleslaw mix' I used 1/4 carrot to 3/4 cabbage so the sweetness of the carrot didn't take over. I also added double the onion because I really like onion. Thank you for the fantastic recipe!

This recipe was pretty good, I didn't add the onions (don't like them) and used low fat mayo (I usually use fat free for coleslaw but didn't have any). I didn't add any milk or buttermilk, which is a good thing or it would have been way too runny! The consistency was perfect without. Next time I'll probably use half the amount of lemon juice and vinegar as it was a bit too acidic and I may add a little more sugar.
