Great recipe! My father-in-law who is very picky about coleslaw loved it! It's very easy to make, too.

This was very, very good. My only alteration was to omit the onion, as we are not fans. I did add a sprinkle of onion powder just to give it a faint taste, though. Very good, and is the absolute closest I've had to KFC's (the only coleslaw I like). Thanks!

Loved this recipe! I could eat it as a meal. The only change I made was to leave out the buttermilk. I cant wait to make this for the next family cook out.

Made this last week in search of a specific coleslaw recipe I had in a restaurant last month. It was pretty close to what I was looking for. Was a little too much dressing for the 16 oz bag, in my opinion. The onion gave it a nice flavor, though, and hubby gobbled it right up. I would definitely make it again, but not before I find the slaw that I'm dying to replicate.

So great! Have made this twice in two weeks and took a double batch to a 4th of July party. My husband says this is the best slaw he's ever had. It's really good. the first one we ate right away, the second one was in the fridge for all day and it really didn't taste much different. I added celery seed and it made the whole salad. Will make this many more times to come.

This was so delicious that I have made it twice in the last week. I did decrease the sugar to 1/4 cup as recommended by others.

Thank you Marsha for the best cole slaw recipe I have ever made. I have taken the advice of others and only put the dressing on when ready to serve, and the dressing does get better the longer it sets. Hubby took it to work and the daughter got ahold of it and licked the plate clean. She asked what store he got it from, he said Mom made it. I will be giving her your recipe. It's a keeper :)

This is one of the best coleslaw recipes I have ever made. I was even asked what store I purchased it at. I put only 1/4 cup sugar in it, and I used 1/2 cup milk with the 2T. lemon juice instead of the buttermilk. Everyone loves it.

This makes the best coleslaw! I never have buttermilk so I leave that out & make up for it with more milk, half the amount of sugar & it is fabulous!

Not too bad, however, not what I was looking for. I like a slight 'tang' to my coleslaw dressing (and am used to getting this in restaurants), but this had too much. It was very creamy though. I will make again, but reduce the lemon juice and vinegar next time. When you first pour the dressing on, it seems like there's not enough, but after it chills for an hour, it develops into that creamy consistency you're used to.

I don't really care for coleslaw, but my husband loves KFC so I made some of this for him. He loved it and his only comment was to maybe cut back on the vinegar a little bit. Thanks for the recipe!

This will be my number one slaw recipe! I quadrupled this recipe because I had a two cookouts to go to over the weekend. I didn't not add the lemon juice because I didn't have any and also because I've never used lemon juice for slaw before. I do think it would be a nice accent and will try it next time. I chopped the bagged slaw mix in the food processor to make it less chunky and easier to spoon over a hot dog. I only used about 75% of the sugar, and the sweetness was just right for my taste. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

I am not a cole slaw eater, but my husband is so I made this part of his Father's Day dinner. He is used to the store brand cole slaw, but I wanted him to have a special dinner with marinated steak (soy sauce/ginger marinade found on this site), slaw, and grilled corn. Wow! He LOVED it! I used two 10 oz. bags of angel hair slaw, and had plenty of dressing for all of it. I also left out the onion (personal preference), but pretty much followed the recipe exactly. All of the kids ate it, and said "wow Mom, YOU made this???" Wouldn't change a thing, and will be making this again! Thanks for the recipe!
