This is okay but not quite up to what was expected given its overall high rating. Something in the flavor seemed slightly off . . . perhaps the lemon juice was a bit overpowering but just not sure if that was it. Having made “Dave’s Coleslaw” (recipe on this site) the week before, that made for a tough comparison as it was better suited for our tastes.

This was really good. I did make a couple of changes to help it be a little healthier and cut out all the sugar. Instead of sugar I added 2 packets of stevia, and instead of buttermilk I added lowfat, plain Kefir. That took the sugar out, lowered the fat, and added probiotics. Tasted great!

tried making home made coleslaw many times without much success.. and finally have a recipe that my family raves over. I've used a bit less sugar but everything else is the same. Won't make it any other way! Thank you.

The buttermilk and lemon make this slaw creamy and bright.

Really, really good dressing. But for me, the veggie portions were off. I used a large head of cabbage and 2 large carrots that I shredded - which amounted way more than 16 oz and it was almost perfect for our taste. I also used half a very large onion and a teaspoon of celery seed. It was the best home made coleslaw I have made - and I have made a ton from this site! My honey told me this one was a keeper.

Very good recipe. I would add a little less sugar, it seems pretty sweet!

finally found it again! this is wonderful...., I *personally* prefer a vinegar and oil slaw, BUT NOT MY HUSBAND!!!! HE LOVES THIS SLAW, and what's not to love? my preference aside, (when the dressing is thick, and the salt and sugar are balanced to taste - which is easy to do before putting it on the salad just by tasting and adjusting ever so slightly to our personal preferences) this is the best creamy cole slaw that ever graced our table. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipe!

Good recipe. I changed just a few minor things. I used Celery Salt in place of reg salt as well as about 1/2 of a red onion. Definitely needs to chill about 2 hours, longer is better. I like it and so did my picky family.
