i use similar recipe but add 1/4 pint of vinegar to butter and hot sauce and then reduce and thicken with cornflour.the real secret to crispness is to put wings on a rack in fridge overnight, this draws all moisture from skin and is what they do in most restaurants.

These wings were great. I never changed a thing and cooked them in a deep fryer. Next time I make them I will wait to put the sauce on until right before we eat them. I added it a little too early last time and lost some of the crispness.

These are the closest thing to great wings from a restaurant. I have also made them boneless.

Cooked these for a big crowd at a bbq and they were a big hit. We just cut the tips off and left the wings whole, worked out great

Delish! I did have to change it a bit because of the tastes of some of my guests, I leftout the cayenne pepper which killed me to do but I didn't want to make seperate batches. I made these the night before, fried them till light brown and then the next day I threw them in the oven to heat up, they were perfect! Thanks for the recipe!

My family loved these. I also put mine on the grill instead of deep frying. I put foil over my rack and poked holes in it with a fork and sprayed it with Pam. Since I made them for a large group I was able to make a larger quantity at one time. I made them three different ways. I made some with the hot sauce recipe, put KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce on some and let some plain. That way everyone was happy. They also liked the variety. I will absolutely make these again.

Goodness these were soooo good and they did in fact taste just like they're from a restaurant, but they are so bad for you. My advice for those that are hesitant to make these because of the frying is to bake them or grill them instead. They're good either way with the base of this recipe. No changes needed; this recipe was good as is. This is a great party pleaser, but my husband and I shared them between the two of us with onion rings and celery with ranch dressing. So good!
