I am replacing my standard recipe! My husband loved that one, now loves this one. Delicious as written, and served with smashed potatoes.

THe texture is nice--the meat is not chewy. I think what made it this way was the added cheese and crackers. BTW you can't really taste the cheese. My meatloaf turned out kind of crumbly.

My favorite meatloaf recipe is still the Tantalizingly Tangy meatloaf also on this site (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Tantalizingly-Tangy-Meatloaf/Detail.aspx), but this is a good 2nd choice. I love these ridiculously easy recipes; it almost seems unfair that such delicious meals are so simple to prepare. This will go into our regular rotation. Thank you!

This meatloaf is the best I've had. I used half a packet of the onion soup mix, because I didn't feel like sorting out the dried onions. I also couldn't find the cheese flavored Ritz, so I used normal. The only thing I'll do different next time is to double the recipe and make 2 loaves.

I am not a big meatloaf fan, but I really liked this meatloaf. I read Connie's additional comments on her recipe before I made it and decided to adjust her recipe slightly. She said to use cheese flavored butter crackers, but I have never heard of such a thing, so I stuck with regular. She also suggested using only the flakes out of the onion soup mix, but that would just be dried onions. She thought it was too salty with the whole packet. I used half the packet and thought it could stand some more. I love the cheese in this meatloaf. One more thing, I never have steak sauce, so I substituted worchestershire sauce. It worked out nicely. A very good meatloaf, and I would make it again.

I've made this twice and both times I had the same issues, so I give it a 3/5. It tasted like there were waaaay too many things going on at once. Also, I always measured out the ingredients exactly, but the meatloaf always ended up being too wet, even when I left a good bit of the ketchup mixture out of the loaf the second time I tried it. It's hard to get out of the pan, too, and it essentially breaks apart in to chunks, so you can't really slice it the way meatloaf should be sliced. I'm glad plenty of people liked it, and it wasn't BAD, but I definitely won't be using this recipe again.

This is the BEST meatloaf I have ever eaten. I made it for dinner tonight and my 5 yr. old son sat there and kept saying "Mmmm, Mmmmm". He said he wants it again tomorrow night. That was the best compliment I could get. My 15 yr. old son who has never liked meatloaf said it was good also. This is a definite keeper. Thanks to the Rempel Family for this great recipe.

Simple and excellent recipe. My husband and son love it. My mother-in-law even asked for the recipe! Used lean ground beef & followed the recipe. I'm tired of people changing 10 things in the recipe & then giving a review. Try as-is first, then modify if need be and leave an honest review of the actual recipe.

The first meatloaf I have ever made, I did not have onion soup mix, substituted a Pampered Chef Southwestern Mix and Egg beaters instead of eggs. The kids love it and the wife as well.
