I made these for a friend who likes to just eat the cookie dough, since this recipe does not have eggs in it. I also used chocolate chips instead of cherries. The dough was delicious, and tasted just like the dough in cookie dough ice cream. However, once baked, the cookies were okay, but it tasted better as just dough.

Sweet with being too sweet. Simple to make. My husband and I both enjoyed them. Freezing the dough was very handy. Unfortunately, candied cherries aren't readily available after the holiday season, so the next time around, I plan to stock up and keep them in the freeer so I can make these during the year.
