This is my first time making Red Velvet Cake, and it turned out quite good :) I followed the recipe as is (with the exception of using the whole bottle of food colouring - I only used half), and it came out moist and just right in the sweetness department. TBH, it was pretty much just a light chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. Next time, I'll try it with an additional TB of vinegar as per another review. Not sure if RVC is supposed to be "tangy", but if it is, then that would help as the sour cream doesn't really add too much "tang" (more just for moisture). I made it as a cake in a 9"x13" glass baking dish and sprinkled some chopped pecans over the frosting. VERY YUMMY!
